Vultures have been circulating Hibs for months, with Doig, Nisbet, Porteous and Boyle all linked with £M+ moves away. And I dare say, if Hibs win the Cup, offers will come thick and fast for Jack Ross.
St Johnstone have won the League Cup, are top 6 and could well go on to win an historic Cup Double - something only achieved by the very best squads in the country. So, who in the St Johnstone squad are worth big money and will be targeted by bigger clubs ?

Not sure, but David Wotherspoon was by far their most creative player on Sunday. No one else impressed me. They were a bland, disciplined and hard working unit, no more.

In my opinion, in St Johnstone’s case, I think the term ‘the whole is worth more than it’s parts’ applies. They work well as a unit, without any of their individual players standing out as a really top class player.

Ali McCann is a decent player who better teams will be looking at especially given he is now playing for NI. Like Kerr as a solid decent defender. Rooney is also a huge threat going forward not sure defensively but a good athlete. Spoon was excellent however not sure other clubs will be in for him A strong squad though as shown by beating us with so many changes. Think Davidson is getting the best out of them will be interesting to see how long that lasts.

Think that is correct very well coached and a hard working unit.
They were excellent in the game at Ibrox in the cup.

I agree about David Witherspoon he has been playing well and thought he looked a threat against us when he came on at ER. But you got to admit Glen Middleton looked really descent when he came on. We will need to stop them playing if we are gonna beat them in the cup final.

I would agree regarding stopping them playing but whilst we will show them the respect they deserve we also need to concentrate on our strengths and put them to the sword.
Take our chances,be lethal in front of goals and staying disciplined. That’ll win us the cup!

Aye, tbf Middleton had a big impact. Booth was the other player who impressed. He made some excellent runs and was heavily involved in their first goal.
A few have mentioned Rooney. I thought he was ordinary on Sunday, but he did run amok a bit v us in the semi. Hopefully our tactical approach will mitigate against that this time. We need to stop crosses coming in to the box as much as possible.

Until Sunday I thought they were a good and very organised team with no big threats outside of set pieces. No change during yesterday's match until Middleton came on. He was exceptional and could now give them a cutting edge in open play they haven't previously had. Probably wouldn't have played had Stevie May not been pulled. Still only 21. Was very articulate in his interview. Another player Hecky didn't get a tune out of.
However, the big thing in football is you play as well as the opposition allow you so hopefully our guys can shut him down in the final if he plays.

I don’t think Middleton was given much of a chance at Hibs. Only played 451 minutes, must be a player in there to have been on the books of Norwich and Rangers. Been doing well for Scotland U21’s too I believe.

Since joining St Johnstone, he's made 8 appearances in 16 matches (not counting the League Cup as he was cup tied).

He was at Hibs at the wrong time. Suffered along with Newell and Doidge. Twas a Hecky orchestrated cluster ****.

Hasn't made much impression at St J.
Still a kid at 21 so has time yet and that was some cameo yesterday.
Boylesque.

They’ll be lucky to keep McCann, Kerr and McCart.

Yes thought he spoke very well. Didn't really have a chance when at us.

We should know better than to sign a player from St Johnstone. They're a team that is well drilled and does a job well as a unit, we seem to sign their players and they turn out duds.
Plus our duds have then gone on to play for them, see Craig, Booth, Wetherspoon so on
