Nisbet played very well, Boyler had a great 2nd half, Hallberg was excellent as was Irvine...but my MOM goes to Darren McGregor..we have been missing Scott Allen's Hair massively this season, and Darren has obviously been working very hard on his flowing locks while he has been out of the team. He had that "Silkience Does It Again" look when he came on and some of the follow through from his fringe when he headed the ball was magnificent. Near the end he cleared the ball solid and long and then swept his mane back with his right hand beautifully...A born Leader and a beautiful head of hair. :greengrin

Halberg for me.
Good player and underrated in the looks stakes. Daz sets the bar, Newell is conventionally handsome but Halberg goes about his business quietly.

Hallberg, Macey or Doig for me. Doig was given a difficult task against McNulty and did well, leaving him to try and play balls intended to go out to see to player injuries and the like.

I think its very hard one as they all grafted ,and many had pieces of better quality than them .Nisbets goal,Maceys save,Boyles runs,Irvines simple pass to Nisbet,Doig keepng Mc Nulty shackled, and even Porteous taking the yellow card for the team when Shankland got into good position.Daz fitted in smoothly,Mr constant Mc Ginn, Murphys shot brilliantly saved ,in all a very good team performance with all playing their part.Jack said he felt they were all determined in training to put previous disappointments behind them.

Going to be a bit controversial here and say I thought Doig got caught out of position a couple of times in the first half by McNulty, but still had a good game. Personally I would have given MOM to Nisbet just because IMO we are a much better team with him in the side and playing well. He put a good shift in today as well. It's just my opinion though.

Irvine put in a great shift and was outstanding for the first assist.
Also, his hair was well protected throughout.

Hallberg, closely followed by Irvine...... Nisbet wasn’t too shabby either. An efficient win and performance for the most part. It would be a bit churlish to mention the mistakes but I hope JR has a quiet word with the offenders.

I'm a bit outraged you haven't mentioned Doidge. I'd say he's second only to Daz. We'd all be lucky to end up with him, he'd treat us right.

I think Boyle will get it due to his goals and assists, but Hanlon has been solid, one of his best seasons for us. Would be really pleased for him to get it.

Had a slight disadvantage of only listening to the match on the radio. Irvine seemed to have a very good game.

Thought Halberg was excellent but Nisbet probably shades it for me due to his hold up play and, ultimately, match-winning performance. Looks like he's hitting form at just the right moment.
Any English scouts watching that will be having a close look at him and Boyle after that. I think his value will now be well above £3m after that and now with a chance to shine in the final and also play a big role with Scoand at the Euros.

Nisbet for my MOTM. Linked play really well, movement brilliant and it was him that was the biggest difference between the sides imo. Doidge took his goal really well but I thought he was his usual self in that he bumped and barged but didn't show much quality. They do work well together though. Irvine, Boyle and Hallberg both good in midfield and McGinn the pick of the defenders with Macey also very good. Doig has abundant energy and has good skills but he struggled with his final ball today and McNulty playing don his side looked their most dangerous player. Hanlon looked much better when Daz came on and Porteous was the only one who never got pass marks
forme.
If we have as many players playing at or around the level we expect from them we will be fine in the final. The supporting players today also did very well which means the squad isn't quite as poor as many think

Probably with you on this. Nisbet was good at retaining the ball and then using it cleverly today. Hallberg has played his way into a start next week surely? He was good today, I was pleased for him.
Have to say there were good performances all over the field today.
Hair wise I was most impressed by big D's more extravagantly coiffured look. Suits man of his age and stature more than a peaky blinders short back and sides.

Good to see a fringe player like Hallberg contribute so much, whilst the contributions of McGregor and Murphy proved we're not short at the back and sides. However I thought Nisbet was a cut above the rest.

Great analysis
Nisbet 9.1
Irvine 9.0
Hallberg 8.9
Team performance 9.9
Hallberg for me, composed and barely wasted a pass but big ups to Nisbet and Boyle who were also excellent.

Hallberg 8.9
Team performance 9.9
