Huge fire at high-rise block.

Please God - not again.

From what I can see online it looks like the fire has been brought under control with 1 man in hospital for burns who should be fine.

It could certainly have been a lot worse.

The same cladding as Grenfell and has been long overdue to get removed - apparently work to do so was due to commence this week.

Cheers Dan. Almost four years since the Grenfell disaster. I feel for anyone still after all this time having to live in a building with similar cladding.

Absolutely.

It must be a constant weight on their shoulders.

I'm sure more will come out in due course but there seems to be a few comments around an inadequate (but common place) alarm system. Thankfully it sounds like vigilant neighbours knocking on doors has got everyone out this time.

This feels like a metaphor for other stuff we’re living through.
