Definitely but was just a bit refreshing from some of the football I’ve seen under Ross.

I agree with that, played some good stuff. Just makes me more annoyed when we turn in performances like we did on Saturday

I’m both excited and worried.

Excited.

Two wins and a draw and we’ve had the best season in modern times. We are favourites for the cup and rightly so. A point against the sheep will see us bag third, more or less. It’s a fantastic opportunity and I’d have bitten your hand off for this at the start of the season. We’ve long since put the Scottish Cup hoodoo to bed and we’re well capable of seeing this out.

Worried.

Record in big games under Jack Ross is poor. Recent and long term history at hampden is poor. Record against St Johnstone is poor. We don’t have many options off the bench. One dimensional tactics (give it to Boyle). What happens if one of the front three get injured. Often fall out of games after we score.

My opinion swings between the two depending on the last result, performances of others and what mood I’m in.

Agree but we are far too predictable and pedestrian at times. Jack Ross needs to react quicker when other teams change their shape. Boyle should be switching wings more and some players need to hold onto the ball better. May is a huge month.

Got to do it for 90 minsIt is very rare for a team to dominate a match or play well for the full 90 mins. Every team (unless leagues apart) will have its moments in the match. The key is to not to concede goals when you are not having your best periods. Don't think this is our strong suit despite obvious improvement under Ross.

There shall defo be 4 games likes.

I think we will tuck away Sheep, Arabs and a Saint team and lose to Celtic, and who cares about that anyway, cos we will have third sewn up and another shiny trophy stuffed up our jumper, yes Sir. :flag:

Absolutely - and sick of Hibs teams generally not finishing the season strongly. 2016 is about the only season I can remember when we finished the season with a bang.

Even with Lennon's swashbuckling side we had a disappointing post split run as I recall. Would love Ross' side to find that something extra inside themselves and finish with a convincing explosion of form.

Dundee Utd is only the 2nd Prem side he will have faced in 16 Cup ties.

Sorry but I just don’t trust Jack Ross to win two games on the bounce at Hampden Park especially if the second game is against battle hardened St Johnstone in the Final who have our number

I’ve seen this film before and I didn’t like the ending

I hope I am wrong

Yawn. Motherwell last week, Aberdeen twice, Hearts at Tynecastle and every other three points we have picked up along the way to being third in the league. Honestly like turning on a radio station and getting the same mix of songs over and over again.

He literally won a game that “really matters” last week against Motherwell **** sake 😂

You were also going on about how massive our last home game against Aberdeen was. You went as far as slating Ross for his pre match comments while praising McInnes. Result? Comfortable Hibernian win in another game that “really matters”.

While not totally convinced by Ross it's the business end of the season.
Give me 2 totally garbage cup performances that we scrape through and win the cup and an even worse winning performance against the sheep and I will be delighted .
Win the cup and all is forgotten.

I’m fully confident we will beat Dundee Utd and what ever other lower league team gets into the Scottish Cup final. We will also see off a poor Aberdeen side to cement 3rd place. Who would have thought the end to the season would be so simple to get glory. 🤥😊

For what it's worth I'd say St Johnstone are seen as favourites ahead of us, due to recent form rather than squad.

They are a problem for us but they have been lucky to get wins the last 2 times. Neither team really deserved to be winners. Just don't want to lose a first goal to them. If we, and they, make it to the final.

Just as a comparison though, I remember another Hibs team that was always told it bottled it in the big games. Think that was around 2015/16.

We will get better chances. Lost to livi in 2004 and probably had that being said. 3 years later beat killie. 2015 lost to Falkirk with Inverness waiting in final. Won it a year later. 2021 lost to St Johnstone in the league Cup. 3 months later, in another winnable semi and potential final.

Hibs will win things. Hopefully this season but if not, the club doesn't fold.

This season isn't the poorest hearts team in my memory.

Statistically, we only win one out of every four finals we appear in, so we have to lose the next three before we're allowed to win one.

He won against Motherwell when it really mattered surely?

It was a draw followed by a penalty shootout. But, yes, we progressed.

TBH if that’s how we win the Cup I’ll take it.

But would be nice to dominate, get a couple of goals and continue to dominate for 90 minutes, in games that count.

I’m talking Saturday v Dundee Utd Please.

Brings joy to your heart to see some Hibs fans seemingly poised over their keyboards licking their lips in anticipation at the chance to get fired into the team/club/manager before the semi has even kicked off.

I think for a team in transition we’re somehow doing not too bad. There have been some woeful performances but nowhere near as many as in most previous years.

This ‘Jack Ross is terrible in big games’ is just an absolute bore.

I read something that St Mirren weren't getting a Uefa license so would that mean if we got to the final against them we would be guaranteed group stages in Europe with a third place finish. Obviously winning the cup would be a better way to get it
