yesterday's match really felt flat and I kept thinking that this is where we are really missing fans in the stadium. It needed the fans to lift the players and inject some energy, it must be weird playing in empty stadiums. Sooner we are all back the better. Get a couple of corners, get the crowd behind you and feed on the energy. No Fans No Football.
Still third
Still in the Cup
Still Hibs

Really can't look at one game in isolation. The whole season has been mad with record away wins, Hibs doing well overall and others struggling. Hibs appear to have done ok without fans and maybe that's revealing in itself

They'd have been booed off at half time. The fans would have then been blamed for their negativity affecting the players. Just as well we weren't there.

in my experience, going behind against to st. johnstone due to a silly defensive error is not the sort of thing that would catalyse the 'supportive' instincts of our fans. tends to go more like a graveyard with a few morons screaming at the perpetrator of the error, doing their best to convince them they're terrible. i hate to seem so negative about our fans, and our support base has many amazing qualities, but our ability to turn on our team is slightly worse than most other clubs IMO - in fact, managers have openly used this a strategy against us. can't remember if it was tommy wright, but someone once said they set up the team to frustrate us until the fans turned, then clean up the mess. pretty sure it worked.

The mistake came as a direct consequence of how flat we were, it’s not the first time that it’s happened this season. The game as a whole was very flat and I don’t think either team played particularly well. To me a lot of that has to be down to the stadium being empty.

Why are we flatter in our own empty stadium than in those of our competitors?
