Out for the rest of the season according to The Hootsmon. Fractured back!
Got to hope Boyle stays fit and not suspended. (Would anyway, but even more so now.)

SDG will have to be the backup for McGinn, too

Was just about to post similar, that's a blow for him and for Hibs. Also reading that it's confirmed Murphy is back training, just a few weeks ago JR said he'd probably be out for the remainder of the season.

Fractured back. Not read any of the articles, when and where did this happen.

Think someone said he got injured in the warm up at Stranraer, as he was due to start

According to JR the injury is not as bad as it sounds but will require rest beyond the end of the season to repair.
Murphy back training this week. How long will it take to get his fitness back? JR states that all things being well he will be back in the squad for the semi final.

Sounds a bad one, not a common football injury.

Ouch. He's looked really good since he came in too, seemed to slot into the team effortlessly.

It's a shame he won't feature again this season but hopefully with a decent rest he'll be back at 100% for next season.

Not great as we’ve been short of quality coming of the bench last few games, no real game changers, let’s hope the first XI can stay fit and get the job done over the next few weeks.

I do think we miss Mallan as an impact sub. bringing him on always gives us more attacking options and of all the players on our books he is the most likely to score a goal from nothing. I'm aware that it was his choice to go out on loan rather than the club's but I do feel we are suffering a little from that decision now.

My brother had a hairline fracture in his back when he played football, I would assume this is the injury Cadden has suffered, it sounds worse than it is but it is a lengthy layoff.

That's a real shame. Wishing Cadds a very swift recovery.

Im probably confusing another player but did he not get a real dull one rom behind in the box a few games back where the ref just let play go on?

Feel for the guy. A big miss for us and look forward to seeing him back in the team.

Hairline fractures don’t occurs with impact injuries they’re the result of excess strain.

They can occur with both.

That's a real blow. If we can win on Saturday I'd definitely be resting players for the remaining games. Boyle, Irvine or Doidge are irreplaceable and we shouldn't risk them.

The Mrs crushed a couple of small bones in her back a few years back. She hadn't been doing anything strenuous just seemed to come. She was in agony. That's how we discovered she had osteopenia.
