How many medals do the finalist clubs get?

Also, is it just the final squad that gets one or is everyone who contributed in the competition eligible?

Think it's just the squad for the final that gets one, so 18?

Fairly sure that's correct.

Though I'm sure managers and coaches get them too?

Not sure where the line gets drawn though.

Often wonder if King Dom ever got a medal after his fizzer against Raith Rovers or if the club ever get an option to purchase extra medals?

Don’t think Kevin Thomson got one either, as he wasn’t stripped for the final

Probably deserved one after clearing that ball off the line at Tiny

I'm not sure about Scotland, but in England i'm sure the club can request more medals.

Off topic a bit but does anyone know if it's true that Scottish Cup medals are the same throughout the age groups and levels in Scotland?

I've got a runners up medal from being in an Edinburgh Schools squad that lost a final to Fife (at the 'neutral' New Bayview). My Grandad also got a runners up medal from the Hibs v Clyde final in 1958 but I've no idea who has that or what it looks like.

I won the Scottish Cup with Celtic boys club latish 90s I'm sure my medal is at my parents but I don't think they looked the same as Hibs winners medal - mind that was a long time ago so they mightve changed or my memory is just shot

Aww man, does that mean Chris Dagnall won't have one. I won't sleep tonight!

Think he will, was on the bench for the final

I'm guessing, though I might be wrong, but Dagnalls medal might not hold the same significance for him as the Scottish lads in the team.
He could auction that off in Edinburgh and make a tidy sum.

Didn't one of the squad do just that ?:cb think you could be right.

Has anyone got Gary Mackay’s number? Give him a shout as he’ll know.

I wouldnt be too sure of that. Chris Dagnall was a decent pro and played over 600 professional games, in all that time winning the Scottish Cup would undoubtedly be the pinnacle of his entire career. I would imagine that winners medal has pride of place on his sideboard.

I think he also picked up a League Cup runners up medal with us too.

I'll happily eat humble pie Billy but I'm pretty sure one of the players did.

Maybe your right, just remember reading something about Stubbs donating his medal, for a charity fundraiser

I’d heard stories about both Dagnall and Stokes selling their medals to wealthy hibs fans.

I heard he sold it to a Hibby for a tasty sum.

Are any of the old Hibernian Scottish Cup winners medals in existance??

Stubbs maybe?

Stubbs was going to auction his for charity.

I think Hibs got his medal and made a significant donation to a charity of his choice.
