I don't usually get too saddened by the deaths of famous people but this, along with Paul Ritter last week, has hit me a bit.
Both young and both supremely talented.

She only just a wee bit older than me and looked even younger. Liked her in peaky blinders. It bugged me more than the death of someone I don’t know usually does.
For some reason I did know she was married to the guy from Band of Brothers but not sure how or why I know.

I'm the same. Duke of Edinburgh has meant nothing to me but Friday Night Dinner got my kids in the same room as me and his catchphrases still sound out loud round the table. Helen McCrory was my favourite character in peaky Blinders and she played it brilliantly. So young and so sad as you say.
Saddened by this. They come across as a really nice family (e.g. Damien Lewis’s desert island discs). They lived in North London and I would see them occasionally up the broadway. 52 is too young especially for someone so thoroughly pleasant.

I'm the same. I suppose it's a reminder that the death of someone we don't know personally can affect us unexpectedly and in ways others may not understand.
Regardless of our views on an individual or institution, I think it's important to remember that in the context of the thoughts of others on today's events.

Yes listened to his desert island discs it was very good. Their involvement in the campaign to provide decent food for NHS staff during the pandemic was fantastic and says a lot about them as people I think.

That’s a real shock to hear that. She was absolutely brilliant in Peaky Blinders, one of the best acting performances I’ve seen for a long time. RIP.
