He’s 23 and out of contract at the end of the season
Will Hibs have to pay any development fee for him?

Don’t think so, he came through the ranks at Celtic, not Raith I think.

Watched him a couple of times and was really impressed.

Plays at a good tempo and is very comfortable on the ball, has a bit of swagger about him too.

His brother Taylor played for the 20s for a year before he went down south.

The fact he came through the ranks at Celtic doesn’t matter, it’s every club they were with before their 23rd birthday. However, as he’s now 23 we shouldn’t be due anything.

Would be pleased with this, a talented player who has the potential to improve further. Has captained both Celtic U20s and Raith and possesses the physical attributes to play in the top league. I’d imagine his wages wouldn’t be too high either so not a massive risk.

Edinburgh boy, played for Hutchie and joined Celtic when he was 16
Having a good season at Raith. Also a good age to continue to develop

To be frank his movement in the first 30 seconds or so of that clip is non existent.
Not seen much of Raith but any time they have been on the telly he has impressed.
We need variety, strength in depth and an eye on the future with our midfield. He seems to fit the bill but got to balance that with having too many midfielders on the books and some getting peed off not getting game time. That said, he looks like a better prospect than Hallberg and Mallan. Mind you, if Mallan was playing at Raith he'd probably be a stand-out player with a long queue of clubs wanting to sign him.

Mallan was a standout for bottom six side St Mirren and got his move to a bigger club, Hendry looks to have for more movement than Mallan, as you say though do we need more midfielders when we have 3-4 sitting on the bench or on loan, unless Ross has decided who he wants to let go and Hendry could be a replacement.

Not enough Brians and Bobbys in the game these days etc...

I actually love when Hibs sign players like this and I think we should be doing what we can to make it happen.

Without knowing much about him specifically, players who are standing out in the Championship normally deserve a crack at the Premier league and do well when they get there, without costing too much.

I'm backtracking big time on the wager, didn't realise he was from Edinburgh. Assumed the fact he was at Celtic meant he was that way inclined.

There are a lot of tickets for the finals that don’t go to the club fans - each of the member clubs get tickets, players get tickets etc.

Think he came through Celtic with Liam Henderson - could have been there with his friends for example?

That was the thinking - don't think we can say there weren't at least a few who really enjoyed that day but were slightly keener to see Rangers lose than Hibs win.

I like how direct he is and how he has the swagger to take someone on instead of the easy pass.

Funny you say about rotten defending, I watched the clip of Giggs’ famous goal against Arsenal the other day and couldn’t help but feel the defending was shocking. He barely had to beat a man.

Don't disagree about him barely beating a man, but to be fair it was in extra time of an FA cup semi final replay (the original tie had also gone to ET three days earlier) at the end of a pretty gruelling season for both teams. I think tiredness explains the bad pass, and poor defending.

Probably iconic as much for what Utd went on to achieve that season, as for the quality of the goal itself. Though I was certainly up off my seat when he scored it live.
