I can’t profess to be a rap fan. I liked some of Tupac’s material and some of the earlier Dre/Eminem work, but its not my genre. However, i quite liked DMX and some of his work. Sad to see he’s passed away at 50 after suffering a massive heart attack last week.

That's a shame but I did wonder if that was on the cards as the news coming from his team didn't sound good.

No age at all.

I'm not a huge dmx fan as for me, too much of his music was too similar.

However, x gon give it to ya, up in here, where the hood at, ruff riders anthem and rudolph the red nosed reindeer are all absolute bangers.

The first I saw of this news was Hibs' tweet about it.

Snap, it's a shame he won't be able to come back to Easter Road now as a coach.
Big Hibs man, I'll always remember him for his small bikes.
RIP BMX

In all seriousness I always felt sorry for the guy. His record company made him go topless for most of his album covers or replaced him completely on it with a scrotes dog. They even made him do a ridiculous growl all the time. What an appalling way to treat an artist!

Sorry guys DMX was an all round *****bag.
A disgrace that this was on Hibs twitter

In terms of celebrities deaths this week this ranks at number 2 in the upset stakes for me.

Paul Ritter is clear in front, DMX a distant 2nd and Philip a well, well beaten 3rd.
