As the title suggests, this thread is a place to post any rumours or actual info into next year’s kit and kit sponsorship.
I have none (lol)... anyone else?

You would hope in the current financial climate and the turnover of staff that a shirt sponsor is one of the top priorities.

I would expect that after 2 years of charitable shirt sponsors we will get a paying sponsor on board. That plus hopefully a recognisable and good new kit supplier will hopefully get some money in the bank.

Eden mills were doing a promotional video at Easter road the other day. Wouldn’t surprise me if they were going to be our main sponsor.
As for the manufacturer, Luke have been doing a fair bit of promotional stuff with Hibs on Twitter, I know they did the Villa strips before, if they want to get back involved in that market I would think there’s a fair chance it’ll be with us.

I was thinking along the same lines with Eden Mills aas noticed Barrie tweeting stuff
Regarding previous post about charitable sponsors im sure it was reported we were able to do that due to somebody /people giving us money to allow this to happen? I may be wrong off course.

Agreed but doubt that will happen, unfortunately this season's fairly poor excuse for a "black" away top means we'll need to wait at least a year or two for another black yin

Hugely unimpressed by the thought of Joma or Luke.

Would like to see us do something bold with our away kits this year. Been flat colours too long.
Something like what Arsenal did with the marble effect or Man Us black/white shape one.
Not those exactly if course, but do something creative for a change.
Also....can we get sponsir/badge/kit logo all in a colour. I think the green/pink spurs away kit this season is class.

Simple design, players could look a bit happier tho :greengrin tbh I couldnt care who we get, just what brings in the best. deal for us (my days of longing for kappa have passed). I'm guessing everything will already be agreed although for a sponsor guaranteed exposure on the european stage for a few months must be a sweetner to any deal (if that happens)

Lovely shirts. How to brands not come up with anything near to what fans can come up with?
Especially with Hibs’ iconic colours.
How hard is it to make an attractive (and traditional) home kit.
The club has somehow managed to miss the mark entirely, or it’s not quite right.
Things that come to mind: dodgy collars, all green training wear look, diamonds, etc
Some of the nicest designs over the years have been down to earth and effective mock ups made by fans.
Solid use of colours and design that look fresh and modern but very traditional.
I do think they need some form of communication with fans on the future of the clubs branding, both in kits and badge.
150 years soon. A refresh is needed , one that firmly acknowledges the clubs history and has a vision for its future.

Some of our kits have been decent recently but in my opinion the last classic iconic kit we had was 20 years ago. Before that probably the Adidas kits. You need a solid brand like Umbro,Adidas.puma,Nike,le coq to come up with a classic. Other brands try too hard to be too modern and add loads of annoying parts to a shirt.
The french rugby le coq sporting stuff looks great just now.
I reckon Luke would make some stunning kits!

I thought the Villa kit they done looked very good so they wouldn’t bother me at all, I also like the range they done for the club, which by the way you can get the zip top for £35 in their sale just now, I got the hoody which was very good quality

As for the manufacture what about Admiral, they have made some classics over the years, think they could do something special with Hibs.

It would be interesting for the club to do a video or an article on the full process, how a new kit comes into being.

Gold harp on the left breast, green and purple stripe on the sleeve and a green collar and you have a classic.
I'd take LCS back in a minute. They had a few shockers with us but they were outweighed by the good and they have improved their offering as a brand in recent years.

And free of cost.
If you want a unique, bespoke kit from a manufacturer the kit price would reflect the need for the manufacturer to recover that particular design cost, plus related additional manufacturing costs for a non template, plus all the other normal costs plus profit. That would be fine if spread over the sales for a world-wide brand like Real Madrid or Man U, but Hibs sales will be far fewer, and therefore the cost to recover per shirt much, much higher.
People already complain about the cost of football kits - would you want another £15-£20 added on for a unique design? Many would baulk at that, especially if they were buying for a couple of kids as well.

We'll need a 3rd kit as well. Firstly because European competition requires it and secondly for when we play Celtic as neither green or white would work (references to what we used to do 30+ years ago are irrelevant😂).
I always think a 3rd kit should he a chance to go a bit mental. The home shouldn't really vary too much and our away kits have been on a 3 or 4 year rotation for years now. I think we are due a white this year. The 3rd kit should be a bit experimental imo.

Green top, white sleeves that don’t involve the shoulders, white collar with no daft flashes
Plain white shorts
Green socks, white turnovers
Do whatever the fk you want with the away kit which should only be worn versus Celtic
We quite literally have one of the most bespoke and instantly recognisable home tops on the planet and we should treat it as such, we’re not some nondescript club with a plain red, sore arse burgundy or blue top.

There was the option of not having the message/sponsor in the strip this year was there not?
We need the cash so not sure why we would actively not try to bring that in. Also it wouldn’t be a first as before we had sponsors on the strips everyone one was at it 😉

When Paddy Power sponsored Huddersfield and Motherwell they embraced the idea of not having their name on the kit. They had the gimmick with the ridiculous sponsor on the Huddersfield strip for one game but the whole thing was based on the publicity of their being no sponsor when the actual kits were unveiled.
I wonder if another company would be open to something similar. Probably not but it arguably attracts more attention than a name on a strip. I couldn't tell you who sponsors most of the teams in either our league or England but I remember who sponsored Motherwell and Huddersfield last season.
