Do we know when these will be announced?
I think we are due to play Aberdeen and Rangers away, with the rest at home.
What are you hoping for, in terms of the order?
Do we want Aberdeen early do we can try and put it to bed, or late so it possibly doesn't matter?
With the old firm games I think it would be good if we played each half of the old firm at the same time aberdeen play the other half, as it means neither team is expected to get points while the other doesn't.
What do you think?

They can’t be announced until after this Saturday’s fixtures
1st game post split is the weekend of the 10/11 April
Believe we are due 3 post split at home, 2 away
On that basis and where we’ve already played them
Home
Celtic
Livingston
St Mirren/St Johnstone
Away
Rangers
Aberdeen

Out record at home is so poor this season I hope we have 3 away games and 2 at home, I’m not sure if that’s going to be possible though.
I don’t want Aberdeen first game but I wouldn’t want them last either, somewhere tucked in the middle please.

I'm confident that we'll have 3rd wrapped up before the last game of the season so I'd be ok with that.
I agree I'd rather not have them first up as that will just add unnecessary stress.

Aberdeen early so we dont have the Aberdeen chairman in the press and on social media bleating about getting fans into Pittodrie.

Aberdeen last for me. If we play them 1st a dons win would give them a huge lift going into the last 4 games and could really deflate us. I know a hibs win would have opposite effect.

I think for TV it will be earlier rather than later. The OF games are meaningless if still a big draw. Highly unlikely they will put the two remaining derbies close together. So I suspect they will show it before it also becomes unimportant.

Is there a midweek game prior to the final day? If there is it’ll be then - Rangers at home to whoever will be the last game on tv.

Win on Saturday and it probably won’t matter., 3rd place will be ours.
Aberdeen will take hee-haw off Rangers or Celtic.
They’d need to win both their other games by bucket loads to get even with us and then beat us to get 3rd. That’s with us taking nowt from the post split games.

I'm not sure about dates and times (although the Queen of the South website has it down as 3rd April at 3pm) but Premier have confirmed they will show Celtic v Arbroath/Falkirk and Rangers v Cove Rangers.
The two BBC games have yet to be decided.

2 early wins and it could be done and dusted.

Which is why I expect the Aberdeen trip to be the first or second game.
Playing them in the final fixture means it's very likely to be meaningless. Sky will want one game that has something riding on it and that's the only contender in the top half of the split. Sevco and Celtc are locked into first and second place, and it's difficult to get anyone interested in a match to finish fifth even if there is a European place potentially on offer (depending on who wins the Cup).

I've never liked the split it allows the SPFL to "fix" the fixtures
If we have to have a split the post split fixtures should be announced at the start of the season like
6th plays 1st
5th plays 2nd
4th plays 3rd
etc
That way it can't be fixed so that either side of the OF don't win it when they play each other

Then folk would complain about an uneven amount of home/away fixtures.
They wait until they know who the top 6 is to try and ensure that if you got fewer home ties one year you make up for it the next.
No one is trying to ‘fix’ anything.
There’s been a couple of occasions where the Police wanted to avoid an Old Firm title decider but that’s hardly fixing the league.

You would think if they want to make it as exciting as possible for neutrals, they will give us the old firm first two games, followed by aberdeen. And give aberdeen one of the old firm and one of the 5th/6th placed teams in the first two games. would mean that there would probably be 3 points between us going into the aberdeen game, and possibly be even going into the last two games.

I personally hope we get Aberdeen last game of the season. Normally wouldn’t bother me but my thinking is if Aberdeen beat us first game it gives them the edge to draw back the other 3 points we’re in front. Probably have a new manager in by then so may get a lift from this too. However hopefully by the last game of the season we will have enough points that Aberdeen can’t claw it back and 3rd is ours.

It had three possibilities, which meant the bottom 6 had three possibilities, plus liaising with TV companies, plus the fact there isn’t any rush, there is three weeks before the next game.

I am sure I read once that the post league split can only work out exactly as it should in terms of home and away matches for the respective top six teams if the same six teams finish top six in consecutive seasons. That rarely if ever has happened so that is why you get weird anomalies in terms of post split fixtures. If that is the case we will find out soon enough as one team or another will have an issue about how the final fixtures pan out.

Us, Rangers and St Johnstone are due 3/2, Celtic, Aberdeen and Livi are due 2/3 so we’ll all get 19/19 (if it was st mirren or Dundee United that wouldn’t have been the case, someone would’ve had 20/18).
Within that a few fixtures will change to make it 19/19 but ours shouldn’t.

They try to get 19 home and 19 away so quirks emerge.............especially with Celtic/Rangers matches.
Stole this from P&B and it makes sense to me -
Rangers should have 3 home games but Celtic , Aberdeen , Hibs and Livingston have only gone to Ibrox once, so one of them (It won't be Celtic by past fixtures) will get a 3rd home game with Rangers.
Hibs should play at home to Celtic , Livingston and who ever finishes 6th , but I can see them being the team asked to swap Rangers and Celtic games

A draw at Ipox would be ideal for us. Keep the Stickies on an unbeaten run through to their last game v the Sheep. Wouldn't want the Stickies to have nothing to play for in the event that a Sheep win there gives them a chance to catch us. But I think the Sheep will be more set, at least initially, on keeping Livvie at bay in the race for 4th so they may set up not to lose in their first three matches. On current form three 0-0 draws isn't out of the question. And if they manage that, then they can go gung ho against us.

That is a really good set of fixtures for us. Chance to have this done and dusted by Pittodrie and, should we mess up and lose the driving seat, a chance to reclaim it at Pittrodrie. If it is still even a debate by the final day, we probably don't deserve it.

Aberdeen getting Rangers on the last day is good, they'll get pumped off a rangers team in party mode whereas there's a small chance we might be able to nick a draw against them
Or so i hope anyway...

Happy with that. Aberdeen are highly unlikely to have caught us before the last game if they’re going to do it. That would leave them needing something away at Rangers.
I’d suspect it’ll be as good as done/potentially mathematically done before we go to Pittodrie.

Happy enough with that fixture list. We just need to match Aberdeen's results over the first three rounds, or be no more than a point worse off than them, and it will be done and dusted before we go to Pittodrie.
Given that those three rounds include home games against Livi and St Johnstone for us whereas they're away to both that should be very achievable, even allowing for no crowds reducing home advantage a bit.

We’ll both most likely lose to the OF.

I remain convinced we will be the first team to beat Rangers this season in the league - be a very Hibs thing to do to go through there and beat them.
If we don’t, then the steady accumulation of points throughout the season has afforded us a couple of defeats in the run in without doing huge damage. Get the toughest test out the way first - happy with that.

Celtic at Easter Road? I fancy us for that. Not only have they not won in the league there in years, I think we have pretty decent record against them at this point in the season overall.

St. Johnstone are on a rich vein of form, buoyed by getting top 6 with the last 'kick of the balls' on Saturday, and scoring goals.
Aberdeen are in wretched form, can't score, and personally think there's more chance of us getting something off The Rangers than the Dons getting a win at McDiarmid.

It's a stretch HR, but they are 9 points off 4th and only 4 points off Livi in 5th. That's anything between £130,000 - £250,000 to play for, which for a club like Saintees is a lot of money. Plenty for them to play for financially, not forgetting professional pride and continuing their run and ending the season on a high. I think they'll be a team that take points from any of the other 5 teams.
I watched Aberdeen on Saturday and they were absolutely awful. Could still be playing now and not scored.

I can see Hibs going in to the final round of fixtures one point in front of Aberdeen. So long as The Rangers remain unbeaten that is fine. It's a big incentive for Aberdeen, but based on current form St Johnstone are no easy game. Over the last 10 games they are 3rd in the form level on points with Celtic. Aberdeen on the other hand are 11th having only scored 1 goal in those 10 games.
St Johnstone also have the chance of catching Livi and a possible European spot so they'll be well up for it, especially as Livi aren't in great form either.

Those two home games stand out to get the job done, albeit we rarely have an easy time against Livi or St Johnstone... Or at home!
