Does anyone have any information on possible pending suspensions. As we are coming up to the last stages of the season,we need every player available.
The rule is suspension comes with 6 yellow cards in one competition.
The last information I saw was :-
Hanlon - 6
Gogic - 5
Newell - 5
McGinn - 5
McGregor - 4

I think there is a part of the season when some bookings are scrubbed would assume it would be before now.

Either 19/20 games I’m sure.

It depends on when in the season the bookings occurred.
If you get 6 bookings in matches 1 to 19 you incur a 1 match suspension.
If you have less than 6 in these matches they are ignored for the matches 20 to 38 and you start with none.
If you get 6 bookings in matches 20 to 38 you incur a 1 match suspension.
If you get 6 bookings in each half of the season then you get a 1 match suspension for the first 6 and a 2 match suspension for the second 6.
Based on the above bookings it is probably only McGregor that is in danger of a suspension as he has only just started playing matches.

Hope this makes sense - but it is a bit complicated. At least with this system if you get past the 19 match barrier you technically lose the early bookings.

I’m sure you’re right, sometime in January

So only refs know when to book the right guy. :greengrin

Absolutely convinced Craig Thompson knew that when he booked Griffiths for an apparent dive (clearly wasn't) which ruled him out of a vital head to head v Dunfermline. Paranoid or not remain convinced of that.

Interesting. Tried to find that in spfl regs but couldn't.

They just all get scrubbed? I would have thought it would then be on a rolling basis, but fair enough!

So you can get booked for 10 games in a row (games 15 to 24) and escape any suspension?

Wonder which teams and players fly closest to the wind - Hearts (Naismith?) or Aberdeen (Shinnie or preset day Consedine?)

Unfortunately the players you mention don't get booked as often as they should. Different thresholds apply.
