Never the same when big Gaz isn’t on but decent guests. Miller knows his stuff for the most boring manager there ever was.

Joe T was the much over hyped David Beckham without the PR team behind him. Good player but always crossed too soon.

Miller was nowhere near the most boring manager and had some great attacking sides, his downfall was his derby record. We went into free fall after he was sacked, we'd have never finished near the bottom that season if he was still in charge.
Bertie Auld takes the most boring title by some way I would think.

Archie said he was the best crosser of a ball he ever played with.

That sounds more like a Hibs myth than true ..nothing wrong with it mind you - a good story all the same .....

I have seen it said on here before. In those days I was in the Shed and remember him speeding down the left as we played down the slope and those sweet crosses that came from his left foot, curling in behind the the defense and ripe for a Hibs header. Maybe I imagined it all, after all there were some great smokes available in those halcyon 80s.

Tortolano looks remarkably like Ray Liotta in Goodfellas.
Even calling Lexo ‘Boss’.
Respect.

Agree with this especially the Bertie Auld bit. No manager I've seen at Hibs has even come close to how boring the football was then.

I’ve loved listening to Miller at the 2 games he’s done.
Really good comments on the game itself, as you’d expect from someone with his knowledge, and the reminiscing stuff too.
I even loved the way he felt like he had to defend and protect his player when they got onto the subject of the treatment doled out to Joe at times from the fans.

Williamson/cinema ?

Williamson/cinema ? I`m pretty sure Williamson made that quote when he was at Kilmarnock, certainly not while he was at Hibs. The football played while he was manager was not brilliant but not as boring as some may make out. Think he gave some young players a chance, Scott Brown for one.

He was the Hibs manager when he came out with that pearler. Not long before the club started the ‘Stand Up and Be Counted’ campaign when the tv deal collapsed.
I remember Hibs had to stop playing a few players as they were due appearance bonuses, John O’Neil one of them
IIRC

IIRCNope, he was Killie manager and made the quote after a game at ER. Had the same argument on Twitter a while back and someone dragged the match reports out.

Really? Had a search myself and could only find several articles referencing the quote to him as a Hibs manager

It definitely was during his time at Hibs.

See, that’s what I always thought was the case.
The 2 biggest sticks used to beat Williamson with were a quote whilst he was Killie manager and a transfer that didn’t happen, but that he may or may not have wanted to.
It definitely was during his time at Hibs. Some journalists think it was as well Aiden Smith being a prime culprit. He wasn't at Hibs when he said it, defo Killie.

IIRC Still convinced he was Killie manager when he said it and it became a myth on here that he said it as Hibs boss. If I`m wrong about that I hold my hands up, but that`s how I remember it.

I loved his cardigan
Somehow it reminded me of how his football was.
