Boyle will get the plaudits tonight and rightly so, but Jamie Murphy was unplayable in the first half.

I was critical a few weeks ago, felt he always came inside. But last couple of games he's been mixing it up and defenders can't handle him

He was my MOTM.

The guy who scores 2 goals is always going to get it but Murphy was different class.

He was excellent today, my MoM. Good attacking play, with a few killer passes, won another penalty from going straight at a player, tracked back very well and won a number of challenges,

Was getting a lot of flak following the semi but he's knuckled down and put in a few very good performances in a row, with significant end product for us.

I'm delighted, because I don't mind admitting I was starting to doubt him.

That’s simply not true, he’s gone down the line a few times to great effect too.

He’s looked much sharper and may simply have needed to properly shrug off some nuisance injuries.

I'm generally critical of his work rate and defending but he was brilliant on and off the ball for the first half. He ran out of steam a bit in the second half but he looks fitter and more confident in his fitness and that will continue to improve if he keeps fit

It's quite funny to watch, you can see what he want to do and what the defender needs to do to stop him, but he has that glide with the ball that just takes him past a player without them being able to do anything about it.:top marks

Hopefully he can stay fit, as thats the only thing i see stopping him being a huge/big player for us. :wink:

Every game he plays you can see his confidence and fitness increase. I just hope he can get more consecutive games under his belt.

He was really good today, looked a lot quicker and sharper.

He was doing past players at ease and had some real good moments of play.

The last couple of times he’s started looking like this in the season he’s got injured the next week. Let’s hope he see’s the season out as on today’s form he’s a big player for us
