Right, surely time for everyone to agree that in addition to being a quality winger, Martin Boyle is a very effective striker as well. :cb

Said last weekend that there was no question about it.

Not every game but he’s a great option.

Had a great week. Still too small a sample size, against 3 very poor opponents to say he is better than Nisbet up there but he's done very well. All credit to Doidge, Irvine and Murphy as well for creating chances for him.

I'm still not sure he's a great striker but as long as he keeps scoring goals absolutely no one is going to listen to me.

The change in effectiveness is Irvine and Murphy finding him with quality through balls.
The combination caused chaos with the Aberdeen backline today.
Fingers crossed Irvine not badly hurt.

His movement today was superb and caused that Aberdeen defence a lot of problems

I'm still not sure he's a great striker but as long as he keeps scoring goals absolutely no one is going to listen to me.They mentioned versatility on the hibs tv, thats exactly it with Boyle, any wing and forward position he will cause damage, his two finishes v Dundee Utd and today were simply class

Love a Martin Boyle interview.

I don’t think you can put a price on having someone with that personality in a team.

I’m 100% converted re Boyle as a striker.

I wouldn’t underestimate the role Boyler plays in these ball ‘finding him’.

He’s given us a new dimension playing up front and we are a better team because he’s there.

Already on this thread that he’s only played against ‘3 poor teams’ which of course is actually not correct by any means but if scoring 4 goals and assisting another in a week was that easy everyone would be doing it.

A massively underrated player.

It might be the best option for him now. He has lost a bit of pace (still very fast) and isn’t able to just breeze past players on the wing anymore.

Wonder what his value is now?

Don't need him as a striker, just need him to be full of confidence as he is at the minute. When Boyle's on form, Hibs do well (and Viki verki).

Wasa. real handful today and enjoying his football

This is about as close as you will ever come to admitting you were wrong about something.

Boyle is playing in his best position now. When he is out on the wing opposition double up giving him less room to work
Liked the way he bent his runs today central defenders hate playing against someone with his pace. Not good enough for Scotland my a**e.

Not a natural striker but it's telling that our third best striker is a better option than their first choice out and out striker.
