Or a new man since he’s not expected to do all the closing down himself?[emoji6]

We missed him the last home game v Aberdeen.

Very good today and is starting to show his class.

Thought he had a great game today, obviously Boyle will rightly take the plaudits but he did the dirty work in the middle of the park which you need to do against Aberdeen. Was up against two highly-rated talents in Ferguson and McCrorie and kept them both quiet.

Just makes me all the more annoyed that he wasn't allowed to play against them back in August because of his false positive coronavirus test! :greengrin

Irvine and Gogic absolutely ragdolled them in the middle of the park today. They done to Aberdeen what they have done to us so often in the past. That's not to detract from what was a good footballing performance from them but they really excelled at the dirty work.

That allowed Murphy to play in a more advanced role and give them something to think about defensively.

None of them were less than an 8/10 today.

Being booked fir nothing meant he had to watch himself as they pushed forward. A couple of times he stopped himself sticking a foot in. Intelligent, not just a hard nan

Absolutely fantastic from him and Irvine - a joy to watch us NOT being bullied by that lot.

Nobody cares that we missed out on Ross McCrorie now - that’s for sure.

I think this is exactly it. He now has Irvine working really hard alongside him & Cadden who isn't shy at coming inside to help out also. Those 2 singing have really gave the whole squad a lift.

The big man had a dip in for a few games but is back to his best. Superb energy and strength today.

Often runs around like a headless chicken ... but today he was a magnet to the ball. He totally dominated the Hibs connected Sheep in midfield. Outstanding.

He was my man of the match. A brilliant all round assured performance. I could never understand the Hibs net myth that he couldn't pass a ball and what's more he picked up a booking for something that wasn't even a foul.

By half time I was thinking this guy is an absolute stick on for man of the match if he keeps this up he was absolutely everywhere, tackles, headers, hassling men in red, just immense. Just as effective in the second half, though as has been said had to ca canny a bit after an absolutely ridiculous booking. Boyle had his best game in ages today, but Gogic was MOM by a mile. His best game for Hibs IMO.

Thought he was tremendous. Him an Irvine together make us a completely different team when not in possession of the ball. You can see a huge difference with Irvine now having some games behind him.

I don’t think Gogic did a lot different today. It’s just that he’s not doing it alone.

Him and Irvine absolutely fantastic. Cadden too. Our recruitment has been something else in the last couple of years. That's all without Joey.

Looks so much better with Irvine next to him. He's going to prove a great signing.

He did today exactly what he was brought here to do, he chased, he harried, he tackled, he passed to the creative players, he was superb and full of energy. My only worry is we have no one else at the club able to play like that when he gets tired or if he ever gets injured, there's no cover for his type of player, possibly Irvine but you then lose his dynamic runs from box2box.

He's been superb the last few games, covers every blade of grass nearly always in the right place :top marks

Great performance from both him and Irvine. We’ve too often been bullied by them in the past and today our central two owned their two. Today was a huge result.

Superb display today.

Covered acres of ground. Tackles, headers, blocks and passes with a few fouls to break play when required

Stopped Aberdeen dominating midfield and showed why he is a key player for us

He was brilliant.

Big fan of Gogic and in fairness never seems as nervous on the ball as I am when he’s on the ball :greengrin Seems to protect it well enough and either turn away from someone and play a simple pass or clip it down the line.

He’s been largely very good all season. Was a bit surprised at how many would have been happy to empty him on the basis of a bit of a dip after he came back from injury.

Mental wasn’t it. The typical overreaction on here when things don’t go our way for a couple of games.

Hes been a very good signing and has proved to be exactly what we need and have needed for seasons.

So glad he has his own thread after the past few weeks. He's been fantastic! A lot of what he does goes unappreciated, and we all get why, it's that selfless energy and commitment we've missed for so Long that we've missed. Doesn't win you games. But it's needed just as much as goals.

Hes been a very good signing and has proved to be exactly what we need and have needed for seasons.

I found when playing in a two he was either being asked to do too much, or wasn’t disciplined enough and ended up chasing people in the right wing, left wing, right back areas and leaving huge gaps, then when he got the ball he seemed to panic and lose it too often. Now he’s in a three it suits him to a tee. He patrols that area and is a proper pest, and then keeps it simple thereafter. He covers plenty ground but only when required now, and lets the other two or three around him go and hunt the ball.

Gogic seemed to win a large % of headers today which was outstanding, particularly against Aberdeen whose average team height must be much greater than ours.

A few weeks back I was starting to consider if we had overated him but the he’s played a major part in the team the last few matches. Glad to be proven wrong

He needs to learn to pass the ball to someone who can play. Played very well defensively but his game is not trying to thread balls through abs he should know that. Some hopeless passes and gave away cheap possession.

Gogic was excellent against Aberdeen. I think Ross has found a formation and team selection that has a team balance to it, and Gogic is benefiting from that.
