View Full Version : Third Kit to Go Back On Sale

Following the popularity of the yellow third kit and the number of times it's been worn this season we're pleased to confirm the shirt will go back on sale this weekend at https://www.hiberniandirect.co.uk/.

The finer details will be confirmed later today but the shirts will be available on a pre-order basis again and will not be available after this sales window closes.

I know there's been a few people keen to get their hands on one after seeing it in the flesh or those who want to buy a second one for themselves etc so hopefully this gives everyone the chance to do that.

The sizing will be the same as the last batch so worth bearing this in mind when placing an order.

Given all the trouble with the sizing last time, I wonder if it might help if those who already have the tops post exact measurements so folk can compare with existing shirts?

I have a medium, it's almost dead-on the same size as this season's home top in medium, and when laid out flat measures as follows:

50 cm (~20 inches) armpit to armpit
68 cm (~27 inches) from the middle of the shoulder to the bottom hem

Got a large in both the yellow and home tops and both fit ok. Yellow is definitely more snug and home fits me perfect so if you already find the home shirt a bit ‘fitting’ then I’d suggest a size up.

Are those who purchased already but due to the sizing found themselves owning either a size too big or too small & because they were limited & weren’t making anymore being swallowed to swap them in store ?

Best to direct any queries to the club store on [email protected]

What’s the fit like for the home kit? Go a size up?

Am I right in thinking our win rate in the 3rd strip is good?

I’m XXL in home and away.

Had to go 3XL for the yellow one.

If you have a beer gut, keep that in mind.

(Large in the Adidas Scotland shirts, go figure).

Totally missed any chat about the sizes being off. Have been wondering since it arrived why it’s smaller than this seasons home top [emoji85]

The wife bought me the top for Christmas, XL it's neat and i would dearly like an XXL. The plan was to head into the shop after Christmas as i believed they had the odd top still there but obviously the shops not been open. On the back of the news they are getting more i emailed them earlier today, hopefully get something done.

Because of the ‘made to order’ nature of the kits the yellow top is a slimmer fit as it’s the same spec as the match shirts worn by the players. As said above it’s a bit tighter than the home/away replica tops for the last couple of seasons so I’d suggest getting a size larger than you’d order in the normal replicas from the club shop.

Personally I normally wear a medium tshirt, large in macron and will need an extra large in the yellow top as the large I bought before is a bit tight! Hope that helps.

I’m a medium in most items but a large in the home top as medium seems more like an average small

I've just ordered this since I didn't bother first time around.

All I need to do now is remember I've ordered it given April is ages away!

I had an interesting conversation last night with a HS member who is miffed that another batch of strips appear to have been made.
Originally they were marketed as a one off strip and would not be available on general sale.
I told him that they were probably the residue from the original batch , but that doesn’t appear to be the case.
Doesn’t bother me as it’s a bit more money for Hibs, but a good debating point. !
One of my sons and a few of his mates are ordering them and they have nothing to do with HS
What do the guys who thought they had a limited edition strip think ?

Eh? Doesn’t really matter to anyone how many are ordered does it? The first batch were generally available to order too.

This occurred to me when I first saw the OP – would anyone see it as diluting the rarity of their shirt? Personally I bought it because it has my name on it and I don't care how many are out there. The more money it brings in the better.

I wonder if part of the reason for doing it was because of the fairly widespread problems with sizing – maybe they realised that there was no chance of accommodating all of the size swaps people were asking for, so a second run gives people the chance to return their original strip and order a bigger one?

Anyone could buy them previously, and I would imagine it would be the same this time as well.

I've gone off the idea now. Not risking ordering a top that might be ill fitting.

They can indeed be ordered by anyone. There is no restriction to HSL members. I've just ordered a second strip without any difficulty.

I know, tanned and athletic, sipping on their espressos. “Ciao Bella”.

Then us “Two pints of Best and a steak pie and chips mate. And a portion of cheesy chips for the table, likes”.

Nope. I’m not a member and I have a yellow top.

Twice if you take the fact I sent my original size back as it was crazy small.

My uncle and cousin are members, managed to find their names.

The top was never marketed as limited edition or a one-off sale. The kit was available to buy to anyone who wanted one via the club shop and there was no requirement to be a member of Hibernian Supporters to purchase one.

It’s a one-off strip in the sense that we don’t know if there will be a Hibs top with the names of fans printed in the design again, given the amount of work that went into sorting this one I can’t see it being done again any time soon.

There was a fairly significant additional demand for the shirt after the pre order window shut due to people seeing it in the flesh and it being worn for almost all away games this season so the clubstore have run a second order window.
