It seems there's been a change in approach to these since the start of the season when Gogic was ruled out despite having negative tests. There's now a dedicated team to deal with elite sports who review cases on a case by case basis to decide whether a player is allowed to play or not, brought to light by a united player who played after a similar experience as Gogic;

It makes more sense this way I think, but the whole system seems open to criticism for being inconsistent throughout the season.

maybe in fairness the first case for each should sit out? What a mess.

It's unfair on us but at least they're not repeating the mistake
