I’ve already scranned the mega crisps and Maltesers I’ve bought - although there’s still a Tyllers bag left - washed down with 2 650ml Peronis (£2 at Morrison’s) the remnants of a bottle of Stellenbosch Wine and that was just last night...

Today it’s been slimmer pickings making do with coffee and a mountain of pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread). Yet to crack open a caramel log...

Not sure a combo of crisps, Maltesers and lager are going to help you with caramel [type] log later

Just had some chicken Super Noodles (not the packet, either - their version of the Pot Noodle). First time I've tried them, would say they were decent and would have again.

Going for some Wotsits and a wee Mars bar next.

The Oreo eggs are were it's at these days. A wee bit sickly maybe.

3 eggs for £1 in Asda and you can mix and match Creme Eggs, Caramel Eggs and Oreo Eggs.

The addition is sweetcorn in the pots is not acceptable, not sure why it is but the flavour of the pots is nowhere near as good as packet chicken supernoodles

The secret with any packet noodles is to only use half the seasoning they include. Make up the difference with regular chicken stock, soy sauce and a hot sauce. Makes it into more of a soup than just stodgy noodles and you can use it as the base for a cheap fake ramen as well.

I have some Korean noodles - one flavour is "spicy" and the other is "2x spicy". They take a bit more than the usual packet noodle but come with a sachet of seeds and seaweed flakes to stir through them and they're delicious.

Had two scotch eggs, a homemade brownie, and a raspberry The Collective yoghurt for lunch. All decent, but wouldn't recommend them as a combo. 6/10.

Now I've got an ethics seminar before settling in for a night of awaiting Kevin Nisbet's departure.

Not guilty, though it sounds like the kind of thing I'd throw a like on...

Ethics lecturers do have a bit of a knack for acting like welts, there was one who assaulted a protestor using a bike lock at Berkeley a couple of years back, 4 felony charges.

Fortunately my one can't hurt or impregnate me in an online seminar!

You **** be serious!

What course are you taking if you don’t mind me asking? Kudos anyway but If it’s it IT related special kudos!

I did ethics towards the end of a post grad degree. Felt like a bit of an after thought but it was I suppose timely before we went out and faces all the things business can throw at you. But whilst we did have sociology, ethics didn’t feature in my undergrad years. So important these days otherwise you end up with the halfwits we see masquerading as “leaders”

Aha - it was Immanuel indeed. My degree was in Computer Science and watching the Social Dilemma and seeing what’s going on in AI - it’s essentially a bunch of mainly white privileged kids that think only of the problem from a tech perspective. Indeed the folks on that Social Dilemma were there knowingly manipulating things IMO to influence outcomes - no real surprise if can end badly - whilst it’s good these folks were open and regretted - they’d taken the shilling and seemed a wee bit crocodile tears in the end esp the dude that came up with the algorithm for monetising Facebook.

Apols - high jack over.

I'm in my dressing gown and jammie bottoms, heating on, Ms. Northernhibee has 'The Greatest Showman' on telly and I'm alternating between transfer news and a really good game I've got as Hibs on Football Manager 2020. My ability to buy players on the cheap with a high workrate and get them functioning above their collective strength has endeared me to the board and the fans.

Just finished Hibernian 3-2 Rangers (after being down 2-0 after eighteen minutes). Goals from Greg Kiltie, Christian Doidge and a belter from Steven Whittaker.

TDD - Lockdown stylee.

So we're isolating like a ba5t*** and have been most of the year. Mrs ODS is immuno-compromised and mother (95) is our bubble partner and gets her shopping etc all through me. That means full clean down of all shopping and minimum 3 day decon of anything that can be left to sit that long. Why do I mention this? Because it severely farquing constrains access to snacks that's why.

However as I think I may have posted on the last TDD I have evolved a forward planning approach to all food. Christmas has assisted in this because it delivered lots of surplus to requirements shoe boxes of one sort and another which now sit in the garage looking empty - but they're not. The garage is where the sweet, sweet motherload of chocolate, biscuits, crisps, bagged sweets and many, many fizzy laces are stashed. Also a small mountain of cherry coke because I'm worth it.

So today and this evening I have already been through a 200g galaxy sharing bar (did I share? did I ****), a 200g Dairy Milk wholenut bar, a multipack of squashies and a packet of curlywurly bits.

Accompanying me this evening however is a Glenfiddich. And a **** load of BBQ flavoured Transformer crisps,

There was also an interval Pork Stroganoff for dinner which was roundly rejected by Mrs ODS and both small ODSs. "What did you do to that rice?" "I mean, I'd eat it again if I had to - but I wouldn't want to." "I'd prefer if it was chicken instead of pork and a different sauce." They hated it.

The only non-food news I have to report of any recent interest is the 5hagging squirrels. This episode involves squirrels, 5hagging and a bristle side up garden brush head (divorced from its handle and oddly sitting plumb in the middle of the neighbour's back lawn),

Working from home my desk at the spare bedroom window looks out onto our and the neighbour's back gardens. On Friday afternoon two frisky squirrels appeared, running about like the Duracell bunny - looking for food, playing, sprinting across the grass, 5hagging on the grass, on a tree stump, on the neighbours trampoline etc. Randy little buggers. So far, so squirrelly.

Events took a more odd/entertaining turn when the female disappeared off into the undergrowth somewhere while the male had his back turned. He turns around and can't see her. This bushy-tailed grey lothario doesn't even bat an eyelid. With a barely a pause he eyes the brush head, doesn't bother with whatever the squirrel version of a chat-up line is and just mounts the f4rqer enthusiastically and aggressively. I'll tell you what, he kept at it for a period of time that was unquestionably longer than the amount of time he would have needed to know it was a brush and not another squirrel.

I don't know what any of this means for TDD except to say that I'll be making sure my snack mountain storage facility is both teenager and squirrel proof from here on in because whatever else happens I want all my snacks WITHOUT extra special squirrel sauce.

Bon appetit TDD team.

Marvellous - winning post of the thread!
You’ve now prompted me after demolishing the Tyrells to promptly unshare the Galaxy Minstrels share bag ;) every man for himself tonight.

ODS thats just sheer poetry. None of these stupid transfer rumours you find on other inferior threads.

I'm away to tan a large bag of chicken & thyme sensations to celebrate a worthy post.

Show some sympathy Gen Xers - The other day I nipped into the garage to get some stocks and the assistant said “do you remember the sweets planets”? I said no (not off the top of my head but I do now) - she said “I’ll have find someone my age to ask!” I then inadvertently dig deeper asking - “do you remember treets ?” I explained They were like the the chocolate covered peanuts before M&Ms - she said “M&Ms weren’t always M&Ms?...”

Treets, Relays. Many classic sweets of yesteryear...

I also hope that you get some breaks soon and that your missus and her/your old dear get immunised and things get back on more of an even keel - but tonight the night belongs to you (and your stash)

Used to love this thread but now diabetic and find it too tempting to read. Felt it was safe this morning so had an enjoyable 10 minutes reading it.

Some of you must feel a bit sick this morning! Take it the diets start on Monday!😂
