I’ve not posted a “rumour” for the whole 18 years I have been on Hibs.net.
However, I have been told that both Aberdeen and Hibs have asked St Johnstone about taking Callum Hendry on loan with a view of a permanent transfer in the summer.

It was widely reported that Aberdeen were interested when the Cosgrove move was first touted, so potentially some legs.
His goalscoring record is underwhelming but Saints fans tell me he's quite a promising player, it just hasn't clicked for him this season.

Would be content with Hendry coming in, if it was to be challenging with Doidge and Nisbet. If KN leaves, then I'd be looking for someone with a better track record

Hopefully not as a replacement for Nisbet.
If it was in addition to Doidge, Nisbet and Gullan then fair enough.

If only there was a former St Johnstone player that was popular there that we could offer in return. 😉
Don’t know anything about the guy Hendry. No idea if he’d be good or not but we do seem to like players familiar with Scottish football so wouldn’t surprise me.

Here's the St J manager talking about him here just the other day

Please not another dud from St Johnstone
Every player that we seem to get from them turns out to be a joke while there was a bit of excitement amongst the fans that we had managed to sign them. The exception being John O'Neil.
From my time watching Hibs I'm thinking way back to John Brogan who scored goals for fun at every club he was at previous to Hibs and after Hibs. For some reason it didnt happen here

I rate him, not as a replacement for Nisbet but as competition he would be a good addition imo.
Seemed to have a decent season last year and progress quite a bit but hasn’t really got going this year with injuries.
Hes strong, quick and quite aggressive for a striker, certainly not scared to put himself about. Similar mould of striker to Brophy.
Would have no issue with signing him for competition.

Good another player held back by injury. They’ll be able to have their own 5 at training.:greengrin

Good. On paper there’s nothing to excite us.

He's just gone from 'not good enough' to one we 'missed out on' in the space of 15 seconds.

If he scores against us on Saturday for Aberdeen, it’ll be because of penny pinching Ron the Con. Obviously. I’m already raging.

Not very good. Not even good enough to get a regular start for a team languishing 16 points behind us in the league.I don't think your average Aberdeen fan will be too excited by his arrival at Pittodrie.
