From BBC website. Great incentive to push for finishing 3rd(if one of the uglies wins the cup) or for us winning the Cup:-

This season's Scottish Cup winners will enter the Europa League at the final play-off round, the Scottish FA has confirmed.

Should the cup winners reach the Champions League qualifiers by finishing first or second in the Premiership, this place will go to the team in third spot.

With losing sides from the play-off dropping into the group phase of the new Conference League, at least one Scottish club will be guaranteed Europe football until at least December.

European spots for next season are:

Premiership winners - third qualifying round of Champions League
Premiership runners-up - second qualifying round of Champions League
Scottish Cup winners - Europa League play-offs
Premiership third place - second qualifying round of Conference league
Premiership fourth place - second qualifying round of Conference league
There is the possibility of the teams finishing first and second in the Premiership joining the Champions League one round later, but this depends on who wins this season's tournament and where they finish in their own domestic league.

This season's Scottish Cup is currently suspended with no new dates set for second and third round ties still to be played.

So winning the Cup is ranked higher than finishing 3rd. Don't agree.
Doesn't say what happens to the 5th place on offer if the above scenario happens or if 3rd or 4th win the Cup. Does it mean 5th gets a Conference League place?

That’s correct, same as any other year really.

I also think it’s a UEFA stipulation that the cup winner is the highest Europa league entrant.

There’s no chance the cup will be played to a finish before the summer so it’ll be third that gets the spot

Think the lower leagues are trying to get back next month, but we’re a round behind in the Cup

They’ve put a proposal to SFA and government for a March restart - still awaiting feedback on it .....

They’re aiming to start back in March, they’ll have 2 months of league games to catch up on and there’s 4 rounds of the cup to play before the semis which are currently scheduled for early April. At best we’ll get the semis played in the original weekend set aside for the final but I wouldn’t be surprised if the semis and final are moved over to next season again

Doesn’t make sense that 3rd wouldn’t get that. For being the 3rd best team that season.

Looking more likely that the Scottish Cup will be rolled over into next season again.
Scottish Cup, lower leagues and women's football remain suspended - BBC Sport (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55853839)
With the amount of games still to be played from previous rounds, it will be a hard fix to complete this season!!!

Praying we can finish 3rd and/or win the Scottish Cup 🙏

Would be brilliant watching us in Europe every week.

There is no way the Scottish will be concluded before the end of the season.

Go and get third and your guaranteed group stage, European football. What an opportunity.

And a great big muckle carrot to get Newell, Rocky, Irvine to sign extensions.

You’re not guaranteed group stages. It’s entry to a play-off which is highly likely to be a super tough tie.
