Based on what, though? I'd say most of them get it far more than you or I. There have been many big hibs fans play for us who have made an absolute **** of big moments as well. Darren mcgregor gets hibs more than most. He still ****ed up big time in the Aberdeen semi.
The total disconnect bit is strange. I personally don't feel a total disconnect. I don't think tonight was about effort.

Ron resides in the America’s. He’ll have no real idea of the pain this evening. No Chief Exec, missing chairman. He’s not likely to connect to fans. And to be fair, he’s backed the manager.

Away game, ironically at St. Johnstone, the entire Hibs away support singing "you don't know what you're doing". Because Hughes didn't. Don't try and rewrite history.

They don’t need to feel it like the fans, in fact it’s probably for the best that they don’t!
They do however need to feel it like pros involved with a club. Hibs issues in big games and under pressure pre date the current crop, though it does seem to have gotten worse in the last couple years. The club could perhaps benefit from exploring the use of sports psychologists and motivational techniques, because there’s a problem there. We just don’t perform often enough, and are never more than the sum of our parts. We don’t rise to the occasion, all too often we shrink away from it.
I remember reading about the tiny club that managed to win the Norwegian title last year, and they credited it to that sort of work. Certainly we need to change something.

Aye, pumped by St Johnstone in one cup, Ross county in another and Killie in his third effort. Overall won three cup ties, Irvine Meadow, Montrose and Brechin 😂

You can’t slate one manager for losing big games by backing a manager that couldn’t even get us into big games. Did Yogi win 1 Edinburgh derby?

Hbs back to their old failings today. Too soft when it really matters. This state of affairs has gone on for far too long. I'm not sure the new owner "gets" this properly. From the Cub's point of view I sincerely hope so.

From the Cub's point of view I sincerely hope so.Today was no one off . We`ve lost several matches in the last 6 weeks or so against clubs that many Hibs fans would expect us to beat especially fans who only look at results in semis , finals and v Hearts . When we lost LC finals v Livi in 2004 ( Livi were higher in league than us ) and v Ross County in 2016 ( Ross County were in higher division than us ) many Hibs fans said it was a disgrace etc but reality is that neither result was a surprise . Today it wasn`t down to softness , more that St Johnstone`s players and manager are as good or better than ours and the luck for St J that we didn`t take our chances ( when we won in league match in Perth we were very lucky ) .

At least in the good old days they had George Street to blame.

"Today was no one off" is exactly the point I am making. For our size relative to the Scottish game should we not be competing better?

Well we certainly did better in the League Cup than the OF.

For our size relative to the Scottish game should we not be competing better?Probably yes but as Ancient H has added the OF have done even worse than us in LC this season and financial difference between OF and us is huge compared to difference between us and Aberdeen and other non OF top division teams so results like today`s are to be expected . Not saying I`m happy about situation but is reality .

Perhaps he has learnt by his mistakes and is a better manager now
Not as If he came to ER lately and easily beat us.

Not as If he came to ER lately and easily beat us.Maybe he has but I can't see how there's anything to back that up
He's been out the game so long
I know he shows passion and shout and bawls but I don't think that actually plays much of a role these days
If we change manager I'd prefer for us to go down the up and coming/highly regarded coach route
I'd prefer to stay away from anyone hibs connected unless they are absolute standout candidate

Then went and got pumped 5 zip by Rangers today. Callum Davidson beat Hibs easy today, wouldn’t have him as manager. Yogi has barely had a long term job since he left Hibs 10/11 years ago to say that he’ll have improved any. A top guy, but nowhere near our level now on the face of it.

Or perhaps he has bounced around smaller clubs than hibs who have all ended up relegated. Yogi shows a bit a the old "PASHUN" but he's not the answer. Big game record at hibs worse than Ross.
Short memories. After February in his first season, yogi was dreadful.

I never even put him forward as the answer to our problems
To judge a man on games years ago is totally ignoring the fact people get better at their job
You can spell passion any way you want but it will never be applied to the team we are currently watching.

Horsed 5-1. Remember being raging, screaming that hughes owes me £20 or however much the ticket was. Most memorable thing about the match itself was benji getting subbed and he sprinted off the park. Fastest I ever saw him move.

To be fair, yogi never received the financial backing the present manager does.
