View Full Version : Hibs v Killie

With the 2 new signings, and Lewis getting another year, looking forward to tomorrow’s big game
Think we’ve done the double over Killie this season, so would be great to keep this winning streak going

I’ve no idea who’s going to be playing, or even who’s on the bench, but seemingly both new signings are available for selection
Home form hasn’t been too good, lets start putting this right Hibs

Joe Newell is in the studio for the match so he’s definitely out injured. Bit of a nightmare that.

Haven’t lost to Killie in last 5 games..

But we haven’t won by more than 1 goal at Easter Road since Feb 2020 in the league..

We haven’t won in last 4 games getting 1 point from 12.

Last season we won 5 league games at home all season (St Mirren , Motherwell,Aberdeen, Ross County and Hamilton).

This season we have won 3 league games so far - (Killie, Hamilton and St Mirren).

We need to get our act together.

It would be nice if the new boys were able to make a meaningful contribution as our regulars have looked very tired lately.

That being the case, I think Irvine goes right in to the team.

I think he might have anyway. No point in signing someone on that kind of contract then waiting however long for them to get up to speed.

“Jack Ross is hopeful of being able to call on winger Martin Boyle, who missed the trip to Glasgow after rolling his ankle in training.

Joe Newell and Josh Doig will be given every chance to make it but require further assessment after being forced off with injuries of their own.

Kyle Magennis, Ofir Marciano and Sean Mackie are all making good progress but the head-to-head with Kilmarnock may come just too soon for them, while Scott Allan remains on the sidelines after a bounce match he was due to feature in on Tuesday was called off.”

Taken from the preview on the official site might not be fully updated though. Obviously Newell will be confirmed missing now if in the studio.

Save Doig for the semi. Lewis will do the job fine.

Newell will be a very big loss tomorrow but, if we can raise our home form a bit, we should get a result.

Even though the club announced it before he did? And presumably Ross did in his interview this morning also.

Is the game on Hibs Pass ?

Hibspass for season ticket holders only.
Hibs PPV site for UK/ROI based non-season ticket holders and Kilmarnock fans.
Hibs TV international for non-UK/ROI viewers.

Marciano, walks off with a calf strain before Xmas and he's still out? He's at it. Clearly not signing an extension. With us calling back Dabrowski and getting Macey in, wouldn't be surprised to see him off this month.

I often, when I get the chance, go all out on the munchies for watching the football so today trying to recreate a Berlin style doner from scratch. Home made doner meat, making the flatbread just now and away to make the sauce. Already have home made pickles in the cupboard as a nice little project from midweek.

Also have glases in the freezer to make dry martinis.

Hoping this makes for a 'Hibs class' set of refreshments.

Id hope we won’t play both Hallberg and Gogic today. Let’s try and play a bit more expansive

Back 4 with Lewis in for Doig

Gogic at the base with Boyle on one flank and Murphy on the other. Doidge and Nisbet up top.

Leaves 1 space in the middle. For me it’s either Mallan or Irvine. If Boyle isn’t fit then Cadden comes in.

4-1-3-2 formation!

Nice. I'm going with pan fried cod roe seasoned with Himalayan rock salt and black pepper(unknown origin). Served with a green salad of Rocket and lambs lettuce with a drizzle of Balsamic. Dry Riesling (Mosel) to pair.
