Didn’t see a thread on this very important game tomorrow
Need to get back on the winning trail, and get 3 important points. It seems ages since we played Livvi away
Can see at least one or two changes from Wednesday’s starting line up
We’ve got some tough fixtures in January, so 3 points is a must

Given up predicting our results. Thought we'd hammer Ross County. Easier predicting the lottery

I can’t say I’m overly confident, our home form has been really patchy this season. If we play like we did against Dundee Utd I’m sure we’ll win, but if we play like we did against Ross County we’ll struggle to take anything from the game.

We will need to be up for it that's for sure. :agree:

I fancy a bounce back after the other night. Big win.

Another 0-2 or worse.

:na na:
Will need to play much better but I'm actually more confident for this one than I was for Ross County.

Other than the old firm or Aberdeen I think this is probably the worst team we could have faced.

They will be looking forward to playing us and will really fancy their chances, I suspect they will look tk bully us in midfield and knock us off our stride. I wouldn’t bet against that happening either.

We beat them comfortably before but this is a Livingston side playing with a lot of confidence.

I think it’ll be a draw.

Hopefully , its getting the right set up / formation for home games , Ross has got it more or less spot on for away games.

Ross has to find a way to win this one as don’t want this run of poor home firm to continue into a new year
A few more options at his disposal to pick from so hoping that is catalyst for a win

Is there a chance we might just sneak a win?

I feel if we do not win tomorrow it starts to begin to get very difficult to finish above Aberdeen. Also a loss would mean us looking over our shoulders at Livi and possibly Dundee Utd.

We need to be patient, especially at home. But my feeling is that this Hibs team get a bit frantic and disorganised when things are not going well.

This is a big test tomorrow and it will be interesting to see the reaction after the debacle on Wednesday.

My feeling is we won’t win this. Will probably be a draw which will not be good enough with Aberdeen pulling away from us.

We aren’t going to finish 3rd. Especially with results like the Ross County game.

Late goals against, a poor home record and dropping points against the dross teams mean we will finish 4th at best.

The question is - will it be a 4th close to Aberdeen or will we be behind them by quite a few points but ahead of 5th by a few.

Tomorrow will be tough - pressure is on after the last loss. I think a draw or 1v0 win. Though lose the first goal and we are in trouble.

We last played on 30th and looked fatigued then. Will he change the starting team ? Surely Wright will be benched and wouldn’t be surprised if he rests Doig.

Our home record is poor and we rarely win by more than a single goal.

Last time we played them Horgan assisted 2 goals and Dykes scored for them. Neither are still playing in Scotland !

The last 3 games between the sides at ER have all been score draws too..

Aye it’ll be very tough

If we don’t score early doors or get the first goal I can’t see us winning. Seems to be our Achilles heel this season.

Need to play a lot better than the other night and the team could do with a freshen up. I’d like to see us going with three in midfield.

Posted this the other night..

We haven’t won by 2 goals in the league at ER since Feb 2020.

We scored a few against ICT in cup but apart from that we seem to find it hard to batter teams at ER.

Maybe tomorrow that will change..

If we don't score first I can't see us taking much from the game.

I think it will be a tight game but I expect us to come out on top. We hammered them earlier in the season.

Maybe need to approach it and set up like it's an away game.

Snowing in Edinburgh.

Paul McGinn in the press saying the pitch isn’t very good. It looked poor from the coverage the last 2 games.

Don’t think the weather has been that bad the last few weeks compared to previous years - haven’t seen how all the other pitches are holding up but Motherwell's seemed to be looking good.

Another competitive game expected, Hibs are still producing chances and need to be more ruthless in front of goal, they need to match the opposition for physicality and effort. Good performances in my opinion from Boyle, Nisbet and Doidge in particular would be a massive advantage.

A warning to the players about the consequences of losing today.
(IF) Livy win their 2 games in hand they will be three points behind us in 5th.

I'll go for a 2v2 draw.

I’m hoping the kick up the backside from the other night, is enough for a home win

Surely there is no way we can play as badly as we did in the last game. I’m confidently predicting a comfortable win today. You know who to blame now if it all goes wrong. :greengrin

Low scoring draw for me. They are playing well and we are struggling at home and don't really have anything on the bench to change things

Zero excuses today, they should’ve had a rocket up their axxxxx after the Ross County game. Dump the midfield 2 formation, win the midfield battle by having 3 in there including Gogic. I don’t want to hear about bumpy pitches either, if that means winning ugly fair enough.

Definitely shouldn’t be an easy win when you see livi’s recent form
