And I'm glad he's gone for Doig over Stevenson, love wee Lewis but he was bang average against St Mirren and Doig offer so much more in a forward sense. We need to be able to push Taverner back and have him thinking about going backwards rather than the constant onslaught that it could be if we sit deep on the left.

I think we would have went one up top today regardless of Doidge being out. He may have went with Nisbet up top but it is hurting us not having at least the option to play Doidge. The discipline is going to be key today. So far we are holding the banks and no one is breaking the line trying to be a hero. That forces Rangers to move from side to side without going anywhere trying to tempt someone out.

If we can keep our concentration we can frustrate them and hit them when it breaks down.

Just managed to start watching the game. Looks like it will be a long, backs to the wall game, which is to be expected. Also that bench is powderpuff, but obviously down to players unavailable.

On Newell, Wednesday night and that brilliant pivot and driving run 5 minutes or so ago. That’s the kind of Newell I can see why folk rave about him, if we can get midfielders beside him to compliment him and more of Wednesdays level and driving forward with the ball and I’ll be joining those that rate him so highly.

He’s been solid but still gets caught wrong side. He’s given away x2 penalties this season.

Thought Hanlon should have gone with right foot block
for goal rather than left. Cross should have never made it in.

That's a really poor comment. Porteous allows Roofe to have 5 yards of space and all the time in the world. Hanlon could have done better but the initial error was from Ryan.

I actually tend to agree. Didn't think it was shocking defending. Can't expect our back 5 to handle constant pressure for 90 mins either. We need to get ahold of the ball.

We’ve done well up to now. Make no mistake Rangers are miles better than anyone in the league. We were 12/1 for a reason.
