Can we get him back as summariser beside Tanner?

Really enjoyed his balanced, well informed comments.

He could give Gordon, Dodds, Preston et al a few lessons in objectivity and making measured assessments of players and reading the game as he sees it.

For someone who doesn't have English as his first language, he's extremely erudite and eloquent, too.

So I suppose he beats the BBC mob in that regard as well.

It was brilliant listening to him, especially when he dipped into broad Fife for some words and phrases!

He's a class act. Really liked him when he was here as a player, such a shame that he struggled so much with injuries.

Made for a great guest on HTV. Top man.

What a guy, he didn’t fulfill his potential at hibs due to his bad injury, but he scored the winner against the jambos. Absolutely love him.

He’s still playing. Also involved in a lot of charity football tournaments.

Great to see Farid again, was one of the positive characters who helped turn this club around.
So disappointed he had his injury problems, if he'd been fit we might have got up earlier and of course sad to see it affect his career so badly, he's one of the good guys

Me too. I was right behind him when he went down at Alloa on that ****ing awful surface and it was a crushing feeling to think we would lose him. And we lost him for ages. He looks in good nick tonight, nice to hear him.

I was there too and believe that pitch strongly curtailed his career.

Fair points well made, Scotty

Thanks, but honestly I gave up on Sportsound about 3 years ago.

They had a "debate" one night about sectarianism with "Doddsy" and Derek Ferguson which was like listening to the most ignorant boors you get stuck with in a pub abroad who've had too much sun coupled with one too many cheap gut-rot sangrias.

Craig Paterson nailed it when he left, apparently saying he found it hard to work with people who couldn't string a sentence together.

Farid could easily get a gig on there, but they seem to only want OF @rse kissers and Ann Budge apologists, so that would rule him out.

He was really good. Such a pity the way his Hibs career went as I thought he was going to be an excellent signing.

He was really unfortunate with his injury. Thought he looked class when he joined. Nice guy too. Chatted to him at a Hibs open day and he was only too happy for my wee lass to get her photo taken with him.

I used to see him around Edinburgh with his family. Think his wife/partner was a singer in a band

Really knowledgeable and nice person, he would be ideal and way out of the bbc remit for presenter.
His English is great as well.

I was sat in the gazebo right at the bit where his ankle gave way on that terrible pitch. He would have been a top player for us but the plastic pitch done him.

I was there that day as well. On a more cheery note there’s a picture of him with the top off in front of the famous five after his goal against hearts, I’m in the crowd giving it large. Quality player.

Was that the one about the Rangers 3rd kit being orange as homage to the Dutch player's that have played for them?Pretty sure Mikey Stewart took them apart in the "debate" I listened to. Billy Dodds in particular is truly awful.

One of my favourite Farid moments was the interview with him and JC after the Hearts game. He looked absolutely bewildered when Jason was talking as he clearly was finding it very difficult to understand what Jason was saying 😂

Don’t think he did what? He scored the second goal against them that wrapped up a 2-0 win. Or are you being pedantic?

So he didn't score the winner against hearts? Cool.

His goal at tynie was far better than the one being discussed fwiw.

As much as I loved listening to Scott Allan - felt him being grilled last game wasn’t the best idea - Tanner was too aggressive in his questions.

Felt it had a better balance last night.

Farid was a very good player and so unlucky with injuries - he scored some very good goals and the goal he scored against Hearts was memorable.

He was really good in the studio and was amazing to have Latapy on.

Though annoying that both Hibs tv post match interviews had technical issues ?!

Met him at one the Hibs.net visits to HTC - really good guy and great to chat too - brilliant with the kids as well - one of my favourite players when he was here - would be good to see him as a regular pundit seems to have a knack for it
