Pulled them out of the brown stuff and kept Lenny in a job today, not to mention ensuring a great xmas in Leith.
Time to come home to a team who will appreciate you!!

Yeh, F Celtc, but well done LG .... A guid Hibby and hated by the Yams, they must be absolutely gutted that he scored, brilliant poacher's goal and nicely struck penalty :greengrin

As somebody else said, should be playing for a team that appreciates him ... after that today how the hell does Eduard get a game in front of him, he was totally rank today.

Maybe if he started every week they wouldn't be handing the league to Rangers

Canny believe Lennon waited so long to bring LG on. Edouard was useless.

If, by team, you are referring to Lennon, fine. The supporters, despite his personal problems, have a much higher regard for LG.

Before my comment is misunderstood, like another one in another thread, I’m saying that LG might not be getting full recognition by Lennon and his staff, but the Celtic support have a real soft spot for and appreciation for him.

I think what he means is it's time to come to home to Hibs :flag:

In his 8th season at Celtic now. I think he is home. More than happy with our 2 strikers.

I would love Griffiths back because I think he is still one of the best goal scorers in Scotland and if he was to return he would play with everything he has got every game. I can’t see him returning though, he’s picking up too nice a wage at Celtic to just walk away.

He'd be mad to leave now given money he'd lose but I do think he'll be back in the not too distant future. Once Lennon goes the new manager might not fancy him and I struggle to see Leigh going back down south again.

I’d love him to come back mate, I think he wants too before he retires too.

Naismith obviously said something fairly crass as he passed LG on his way back from taking the first penalty. He made a remark and laughed in his face. LG scored his penalty and then gestured with his hand that he had shut him up. Naismith then ran to the far end of the line of hearts players to avoid making eye contact. Spineless, horrid little cheat.

Griffiths would walk into our team ahead of both. Not even close either. Him and Nisbet would be a good partnership. Not going to happen though so pointless debate.

Not the current version of Leigh. I'd have Nisbet ahead of him every day of the week.

I feel for the guy for what he’s been through - but at the same time he’s showed some bottle recently with the penalty for Scotland and scoring an important goal on the final and then taking a penalty and scoring.

Happy for him as he can’t stand Hearts and I think he will return - would definitely score goals for us and if it wasn’t for ££ he would be back here already 100%.

Liam McLeod's commentary at Leigh's goal was superb. Going on about Brown and Griffiths being former Hibees. Must have cut like a knife. Superb.

Much as as most of us would like it, at £15k a week at Celtic, it would be financial idiocy for LG to come to Hibs.

Sometimes you need to speculate to accumulate....come to Hibs, get match fit, score the goals that will get him in the Scotland squad, hit another couple of free kicks against England....sign for AC Milan on £30k pw.....easy :greengrin

Only any good if he can get himself fit and stay fit. Noticeable Clarke wouldn’t play him for 90 minutes either.

Could we get him on loan in January?

Not sure Celtic would want to let him go but massive boost as we try win the cup / finish high up table.

That’s an interesting premise - a player speculating to accumulate. ........... For years now the phrase has become dirty words with most clubs, working on a tight budget, trying to get the books to balance. Most clubs wouldn’t risk their financial security on the purchase of players who might or might not turn out to be the real deal. I like your tongue in cheek suggestion but would LG take a gamble? I doubt it.
