When was the last time we were in the top 2 in the league in December?

Its some achievement even considering Celtic have the 3 games in hand

Last time Celtic "blew" 10 in a row, Hibs finished 2nd in the league.

Just saying likes😁

Fenlon in 12/13? Know we topped the league quite late on in the year.

If we had beaten Dundee away (in November), we would have gone top. We lost in the end, and if you put a pin in that game, I feel that started the chain reaction that got us relegated 18 months later.

Just looked - we topped the league in November. Don’t know if we carried top two into December though.

We didn't. 17 November, losing to Dundee away is when it unravelled. Aberdeen beat us the following week for good measure. Sure Dundee were bottom at the time too...

We spent up to the 7th Dec 2012 second in the league, 1pt off Celtic.

It was not exactly a chain reaction. A year later we were still in the top 6. It was the next 6 months that ended up as a free fall into relegation.

Boring as the football was that season I don’t think we’d have been relegated under Fenlon. We didn’t replace Griffiths or Claros and struggled but we weren’t relegation fodder under him IIRC.
