We’ve really clicked in the past two games and we look like a really good team. Both strikers scored and the rest of the team played well. I’d struggle to pick a man of the match out of that today, and that’s testament to how well we played. Jack Ross must be delighted after that performance.

We are starting to fill out that squad depth too. Some fringe players coming on to a game.

And still have Scott Allan to return as well

Absolutely, guys like Wright and Halberg have been big positives in the last two games.

Also great that Drey Wright and Melker Hallberg are getting a run of games and visibly growing in confidence. We’ll need all of our squad so for them to show what they can do is great.

And we've actually got Celtic on the run. Beautiful, bring this classic back.

Doige looks back to his best, but I wouldn't want to pick a man of the match from today we were good all over the park.

Not good enough though. Should have been at least ten. Get it sorted Ross!

Yip, totally agree with your comments. It is great the players you mention are now doing well. The moans and groans when both were selected for the last game against Motherwell were overwhelming. What a difference a week makes.

Going great, but impossible not to think how much better it would be to be sitting 2nd in league AND going into a very winnable cup final next weekend.

It’s in the past, it’s done, it would be really, really nice to be focusing on the positives of a very good week rather than hearing the same game - heavily influenced by bad refereeing calls - over and over and over.

Man of the match ( tin hat firmly on ) the ref. Not very often I give any those oxygen thief’s any praise, however he allowed the game to flow and did what a ref is suppose to do be totally unbiased.
yes I know how man of the match works and I know we can’t give it to the ref but he did have a very good game.

No idea what you mean, think the point I made is one that every Hibs fan would recognise & agree with.

One bad mistake, but apart from that, I thought Ryan Porteous was majestic at the back.

Hallberg has really taken his opportunity. I think he has helped the balance of the midfield, better on the ball than Gogic and Newell has had 2 of his best games back to back with him along side.

I don’t think every fan feels the need to bring it up repeatedly.

Can't change the past mate, just look forward with confidence.
It would be crap Hibs in a Scottish Cup Final without us being there:greengrin

He was and Hanlon played a couple of Scott Allan type balls through to the strikers in the first half.

I feel exactly the same. Going very well at the moment but that game still irritates me and will for a long time. Hopefully Celtic do the business next week which would help

I know mate and so would I, especially with it being them that beat us.
However imagine wakening up on Cup Final morning knowing you can't go, can't even go to the pubs with your mates and no parade should we win.
I would rather we won it but can't help feel it would be a hollow victory and nowhere near 2016 or any normal season.

Jeez, imagine we hadn’t win in 2016 and then we did win it at last with nobody there! That would have been utterly mental.

Until the next Scottish cup campaign starts you are going to see it mentioned though.
No great surprise in that. Celtc’s current form makes the hurt even worse.

Genuinely can’t recall the part your on about. However let’s be honest if we had refs each week that played like he did on Saturday how good could our season be each year? We’ve moaned ( especially me) numerous games a season about the standard of referees and one game in a very long time I actually thought the ref was v good.

The guy Trafford who gave away and got booked for the penalty cynically hacked down Nisbet on the edge of the box rather than produce the second yellow the ref decided not to. It was still only 2 0 at the time so possible they could still have come back. Guy was subbed a minute later..

Maybe it was deliberate, but I saw it more as a tangle of legs. The guy didn't break stride to bring Nisbet down and from memory there was another couple of Accies players in close proximity.

Was definitely a yellow card offence. Nisbet was actually moving to get a shot away when he was fouled.
