I know you’ve been a subscriber as long as I have and always find myself agreeing with your comments regarding the evolution of the service as well
the thanks to all of those who volunteer to deliver the product. Once again, I’m in complete accordance, the past couple of weeks has been dire!

The problem seems to be bringing them into the loop (although it worked before).

Not even sound from pitch side mics today though.

We did get half a second of sound earlier on, so it's a switch or a cable - nothing more complicated than that.

I would say the audio has been much worse than normal this season. At first it was constant problems with microphones/levels, now it's just missing. If anything the video has been more reliable than normal this season.

I was quite happy with the trade-off of ropey sound for solid video, but no sound at all is pretty annoying.

It seems almost everyone had the same experience today so at least it was consistent for everyone. Unbelievable timing for the first green screen to happen just as Boyle was about to take the pen. Ah well, otherwise the stream quality was excellent, and they eventually replayed the pen. the lack of sound in the first half was an odd experience, at least last week we had sound from the stadium. These away games obviously causing difficulty overlaying Hibs TV commentary. HibsTV either need to work it out properly or just accept it’s a problem and take the home team commentary. It didn’t ruin the viewing but could be better of course. Easier to take when watching a good performance and winning like that. GGTTH

What's needed is better communication.

I don't mind them having issues from time to time, esp on away games when they are relying on the tech from other grounds, but there is some sort of problem every single game. Admittedly, it gets resolved usually about 20mins in. But above that, it's the 'take your cash, deliver subpar product and say nothing at all' approach that gets me - I don't think I've had one email from them at all, no explanation for errors, no updates, no nothing.

Whoever manages this at Hibs needs to get on the front foot and get the customer service up to scratch

What would be useful would be if they put up the "we are experiencing technical issues" message each time so that I knew it wasn't an issue at my end and then I wouldn't need to continually try players 1,2 & 3, log out and back in, try a different browser etc.

If the technical issues were preventing them from putting up the message then they could tweet it. I'm not aware of them doing this and have only once or twice seen the "technical issues" message on Hibs TV. Thankfully I can usually find out if it is an issues at the Hibs TV end by coming on here.

Sometimes he gets players names wrong but not nearly as often as previous commentators ( not meant as a criticism of him or other Hibs TV commentators especially as I don`t know what images they`re seeing when commentating ) . Dundee / Dundee United thing must be especially annoying for fans of both Dundee clubs but is constant in many places in media just as it was in 1980s when DU were a great team even at a European level .

I don't think people were OTT on the Dundee thing. It's a basic error and it was annoying.

That said, I think Dave is a decent commentator overall. He is clear and confident and if anything, probably talks a bit too much.

I suppose it's worth remembering that he's just a volunteer doing his best for the club.

And I liked the apology from Tam. I can understand the context of his comment yet he was man enough to apologise so well done.

If your auto renewal happens to be on match day you might have no luck. Seems to be an issue in the process where it drops your membership but you’ve no option to renew because they close it off.

These are the reasons I dont subscribe, last time,was many years ago and they still have the same problems, I get my feeds from iptv, mobdro or youtube, much better and costs nothing.
