There’s an excellent, very good quality photo book out now with interesting shots and narrative from the ‘heartlands of Scottish football”. Produced by the folks behind ‘Nutmeg’ periodical the writer and photographer are Leith based and seem (or appear) to have Hibernian leanings. Lots of shots of the roads less travelled. Great photo feature of the Four In Hand bus trip to Ayr, season 2016/17. Doubtless there will be a couple of posters on here heavily featured.

It’s not the cheapest but it’s nice.

Not great reproduction by Iggy here, but this is a selection. I can never get the attachments to show large size.

Someone knows that fellah with the tat though.

Snapshot, and Nutmeg in general, is brilliant. Daniel Gray is a Boro fan who lives in Leith and he’s now involved in pulling the articles together as well as writing some of them himself.

Both publications are nice reminders of the good things about Scottish football and a very welcome change of tone from the usual coverage.

Nutmeg is out every 3 months and is a tenner per issue, but there’s enough reading in it to last a while. There’s a mix of seasoned journalists and club officials alongside average fans looking at stuff from Scotland’s trips to World Cups right down to articles about grassroots football.
