Took us a while to get started but in fairness, Motherwell were actually pretty decent in the first half, so I don't think it's that much of a big deal.

That's quite a comprehensive win and hopefully some of the doubters will start to see that we do actually have a decent manager after all.

1st half had me fearing more of the same as to our recent performances, ultimately a bit flat hoping to eak a goal from somewhere. 2nd half was more of what I expect. Bit more energy taking the game to the opposition. The fact we managed 3 goals was sweet but if we play like that more often then all this boring to watch stuff will disappear quickly.

Thought the substitutions were great too, and not just as two of them got on the scoresheet, but because each one made us attack even more. Hibs refusing to sit back and defend a one-goal lead late on really is refreshing to see.

I thought he was excellent today, the best I’ve seen him in a Hibs jersey since he signed. He offered far more today than Mallan has at any stage so far this season. Jack Ross now has a decision as to who plays next week (assuming Gogic is fit again).

Gave up on trying to get the Hibs TV radio commentary, so had to rely on this site for info. That was a tough gig up until 4pm. But I just KNEW we would come good, felt it in my old bones. :greengrin

Now looking forward to watching it on BBC Alba with commentators who speak more sense on the occasional words I understand (like "Hibs", "Boyle", "stramash" etc) than on Sportsound

It's good that Boyle and Doidge have scored after lean spells. Hopefully give them both confidence. Good to get a clean sheet in the SPFL again.

The three McGinn brothers have now all played and scored for the Hibees. Can think of sets of 2 brothers that have done that - Jim and Alex Scott, and Joe and Gerry Baker. Does anyone know if 3 brothers have scored for the Hibees before, or is this a record for the McGinn family? Jonnyboy?

I see we are top of the away league with 19 points from 9 games. The uglies have games in hand but it is still a great performance. A wee bit better at home and we could really be a threat to those two.

What a good day at the office. Was glad to reach half time without conceding wee bit lucky to but second half we were in control and started to win some midfield ball for a change. Looked and took our goals as confidently as you will ever see. Thought our bench looked strong at the start and proved to be.

I think this must be true and even maybe have a shout for 2nd place if Celtic continue to struggle. Very impressed by our play in that second half. How to maintain that for the majority of matches is the key. Real team play as well not just individuals.
