Police did a great job of not putting St Mirren's name into the public domain there.

It says it’s historical, so probably nothing to do with last season

It could be something to do with selling Love Street, their new stadium, etc.

That would be historical, happened in 2009

My guess, based only on what is in the public domain, is that the auditors have found something during their work on the 2020 accounts. If it were anything earlier than that, their own role would be questioned.

It's also interesting that Gordon Scott stood down as a "person with significant control" only last week. Thus far, he remains a director. Not sure if that's connected. There were a number of changes in the Board around that time, with the "Kibble Education and Care Centre" (who are buying/have bought his shares) being named a PSC.

(ps, as an aside, they also got £330k in the past few months from "transfers". Presumably that's a further slice of the McGinn money).

I heard it was to do with a bung received in May 1986. They were paid to deprive Hearts winning the league.

Anything before today :greengrin

Seriously, though, if it's something that the current audit has uncovered, it might date back to June 19. Alternatively, if it is older than that, the auditors may have recommended the appointment of the "other accountants". In those circumstances, that would be appropriate IMO.

Tax issues.

Well known for paying local suppliers “cash in hand” plus persistant corroborated rumors of them using nefarious schemes to avoid NI/PAYE.

It seems HMRC finally got fed up of them taking the piss and decided to raid them.

ALLEGEDLY of course.

All is not well down Paisley way and they’ll probably use "muh corona” as an excuse. I do hope we get that sanctimonious prick Div from P&B doing his Comical Ali impression in tomorrows DR.

Tinpot club with fannies for fans so **** them - admin and points deduction after the NY.

I have no sympathy as if you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.

Police did a great job of not putting St Mirren's name into the public domain there. You'd think they'd at least call them a "West of Scotland" Football club like they did with the Sevco fans following their disgraceful pitch invasion at the 2016 cup final.

Paying suppliers cash in hand[emoji23]

Could be worse, at least they were actually paying their suppliers. There's clubs quite recently who bumped scores of them out of their money.

Always get him mixed up with Sammy the Tammy.

I remember my last time at love street, absolutely pissing it down, sure it was a TV game and they equalised in the last min, 1-1. Or maybe it was 0-0 under Mixu.

If you have the stomach to sift through the spotty wannabe Terrace Podcast masturbaters LARPing as some kind of Tartan 8-chan mafia then this Freddie is quite informative:

Ess-Tee-Vee are calling it a "developing story." Any corruption, no matter how big or how small, must be stamped out if we [SFA] want to be taken seriously and that is why I have no "sympy" for this tinpot outfit and their brown envelope brigade.

I'll just go away and work out what to do with "muh £500" and ask my accountant [lol] whether I need a tax-return to declare my NHS Junior Consultants salary. :na na:
