After narrowly missing out with Sunderland on 2 occasions is the betfred cup going to be third time lucky for Jack Ross?

What about the SC semi final does that not count?

Let’s not underestimate the mighty Alloa. I’d like to think that JR has been developing throughout these set backs and will bring silverware to the club. This is a great chance to do it as the Teddy Bears of Glasgow are not unbeatable.

On present form it’s a big ask But Boyle and Doidge may both have a purple patch at same time Murphyis improving with every game Mcgennis might be fitter and have secured a place in midfield Scott Allan might be over his illness and back in contention
Would be disappointed if we do t progress to another Semi Final and a chance to atone fir Hearts Semi

I share your optimism, players are only human and they need good moments to help them on their way back to form, this is applicable to quite a few members of the team who have naturally came under scrutiny due to a lack of consistency, I remember it took Stokes quite a while to get up to speed but when he did the rest is history, we are fortunate in respect that we do have players that are capable and it is probably a matter of timing and working hard. I would be more concerned if it was poor players doing what they normally do playing poorly with no hope on the horizon.

The dream would be a replay of the 1991 Skol Cup semi and final.

We have had a lot of dates at Hampden in relative modern history. We don’t always win there, but when we do they are to be treasured.
Combination of luck of the draw and turning up on the day. A lot of clubs we wouldn’t have liked to face are gone and we have the draw we hoped for in next round. A lot of us are worrying that Hearts can win the Scottish Cup final in a couple of weeks time and if I was a Hearts fan I’d be very optimistic of doing just that.
There can be no excuses not to find ourselves in the semis after the Alloa tie and then take it from there.

We have been to Hampden a lot recently and hopefully we will treat the Alloa game with the respect it deserves, the underdogs have nothing to lose and should we apply ourselves we might even be able to enjoy the fixture, saving the more stressfull occasions for later on.

Well, we lost that one, so at a guess I would say that the 2020 Scottish Cup does not offer JR a good route to a trophy.

There’s no a lot of evidence so far that they are beatable to be fair.

Outside chance in my view. We haven't done that well in big games and were terrible in his only Hampden game with us. Barring The Rangers we are favourites though so we have a chance and have had very good draws so far.

If someone puts out Sevco or they have a colossal implosion then maybe.

Even though we've taken points off them this season they are on some run of form and have a ridiculously big squad to cope with injuries etc.

I think it's a reference to rumours of Ross to replace Lennon at Septic.

Seems highly unlikely, but what do I know?

No chance imo will only be someone of much higher profile or an experienced old head Strachan, O'Neill etc
