The third appeal against conviction in the Lockerbie case on behalf of Abdelbaset al-Megrahi has srarted today.

How will this one end up?

I would hope with the truth, though I know I'll probably be disappointed. :cb

Given that the Public Immunity notice has been confirmed, I think the whole truth is already a goner.

Based on little more than a lot of supposition on my part I always felt Iran was a more likely suspect so soon after the Flight 655 incident.

I'd agree, and the defence at the original trial claimed a special defence of incriminating against the group believed to be acting on Iran's behalf.

They then led no evidence to support it...

It just doesn't look at all likely.
