Wonder if Porteous is one of those affected?

Would imagine so if it’s a further 8 players making it 11 would think it would be the team that played?

Porteous probably out then. McGregor to keep his place?

The Aberdeen midfield could be stuffed if McCrorie and Ferguson are out

It’s not about the starting team, it’s about where players were seated on buses and planes in comparison to the positive cases. Pretty much a 50% chance of it being Porto though based on the numbers.

Just saw this via BBC Sport app. No names but pretty sure Porteous will be out.

McCrorie couldn’t play tomorrow anyway. He’d only miss one league game and a league cup tie next weekend.

Think they are more annoyed that these players will also have mixed with the other players and potentially infected them.
Richard Gordon says that many of the Premiership managers are furious.

Caught the end of him speaking, did he say Aberdeen could lose 3 players?
Ferguson, McRorie, who else

Hopefully he is one of the self isolators given it will reduce the chances of Porteous being one of those affected

Robbie McCrorie of Livingston and an Aberdeen player are 2 of the 3 positives

Furious for what? Positive cases are going to happen. Players will have to isolate as contacts, whether that be at club or international level it makes no difference.

Presumably because the premiership teams are trying their hardest now to stop cases transmitting within their clubs, loads of testing etc, and the U21 players were back and training before this all emerged.
Pretty obvious I would have thought.........

It only emerged through the clubs testing, the international testing was complete. So again, there’s no reason for them to be furious, the protocols were obviously followed and it’s unfortunate that players tested positive. Do they expect there to be zero positive tests between now and the next international break?

Campbell and McGuire of Motherwell have to isolate due to protocols

Aberdeen have lost Ferguson & McLennan to covid protocol

Aberdeen & Motherwell worst affected
Turnbull not part of Celtic 1st 11, McCrorie same with Livingston, McCrorie of Aberdeen ineligable
Biggies are Ferguson for Aberdeen and Campbell for Motherwell
Fortunately no more international football until March

There was a positive case in the backroom staff last Sunday. They should have called it then. I suspect that if it was a dead rubber the game would have been called, just because qualification was possible it went ahead. Remember they wiped out the U19s the last time around.
Having not qualified we have all heard the quotes that it is about development - if that is the excuse, their health should have come first. 3 Young people now have the virus having been in the care of the SFA.

They certainly shouldn't have played the friendly in England. That was madness.

So if one person tests positive you feel the whole team should be pulled? If that’s the case the season won’t get very far. They followed the protocols, unfortunately three players tested positive which will happen, whether at club level or international level.
