I know this sounds a bit random, but is there anybody on here that used to live in Strontian?
My wife subscribes to a youtube channel and the guy is from Edinburgh, lives in Portobello, but his parents have just bought an old house to renovate and he did a video of the house. Watching the video the other night and I wondered "Who lived in a house like this"?
If you don't want to watch the full video zoom ahead to 6:30 and watch to 8:00 :greengrin

I'm going to bump this in case anybody wants to own up. 😉
I should maybe change the title to Who is the Hibby that lived in Strontian?

My mate is moving up there today.
I'd never heard of Strontian before he said he was moving, and now this.

Fantastic little place, popped up a few times, first time with school as our Chemistry teacher was fascinated with the Strontianite/Strontium connection.

We stayed there on holiday in 2016, I can remember watching the Inverness Scottish cup tie at Easter Road on the tele.
Think the house was called Bruadar Iain. Lovely big house in a beautiful place.
Although ,as a then 21 year old , a whole week with absolutely zero phone signal was an experience 😂

Love the remoteness out there.
