We only have ourselves to blame not the ref , shown up by a team not even match fit yet , now playing lower class football but still got digging into us , powder puff , Boyle done nothing the whole game , Marciano made the defence nervous , Porteous erratic the whole game , we should be comfortably bearing Hearts , Haring not fit , Halliday not fit , Naismith not fit , fat arse Hallket blowing out his cheeks , and the worse striker ever Whighton even scored , embarrassing and not good enough

Score the penalty and we win; plus we had a number of good scoring chances. Same old story against that lot and we end up losing. Ref was poor, but we messed up again.

Score the pen & we probably win - despite everything.
Would have been great if we'd ''got away with it'' but that's what it would have been, our performance tonight against a team that has played 2 (lower) league games was disgustingly bad.

Had enough chances to have game won by half time. Hearts done exactly as expected. Persistent fouling. Popescu on a booking & continued to persistently foul. Unbelievable he never got a 2nd yellow.

The whole team bottled it. Or did we not bottle it? We choked at Hampden again. Manager chokes in big game , again. Boyle offered nothing. Doidge offered little, Porteous and Hanlon a shambles.

It's poor. We really should be winning that game.
Why do we allow them to think they're equal on the potch. Thats the issue. But we do. And they somehow manage a win.

Bedwetters out in force tonight. Is it enough just to say a,b & c were *****. We should won have the game, better players and better footballers. Score the penalty and we're through, but I don't blame Kevin, anyone can miss from the spot. Even Lennon's record against them was poor, maybe we need a sports psychologist. It's bloody mystifying.

Rubbish.
We were the better team and got unlucky.
At least for the first time they werent cheating to beat us.

We should have had a penalty in the 90th minute, especially if the ref considered the two penalties in extra time as fouls. No idea why Madden is there if he can’t see that.

Do you honestly think we looked like the team a division above?

The thing that irks me most about that one is what has the free kick been given for if he’s not booking Boyle?

Accurate description ion too many Hibs players not up to the mark, AGAIN, and a manager that did not have them ready and failed to Re-organise or reshape the team. Ross is a middle of the road guy/manager sorry I want a winner he can ****** do one for me.
He has had a pretty easy ride so far time to man up or ship the **** out

There was more contact on Doidge than Boyle made on the Hearts player

I never said that. I said we were the better team. That hearts squad is a top league squad. They might yet still not win the championship as they were hardly impressive tonight.

The fact that once again we have failed to show up against them shows we have bottled it. No matter how sh*t they are they manage to get one over on us. That tonight is unforgivable. We were far too nervous/ defensive against a team we should steamroller. They weren’t even good yet still beat us.

That's the point, we should have been more attacking, we let Hearts bully us...poor performance and a lack of character...

Can't be arsed with the blaming the ref pish. We failed to beat a half cooked lower league Hearts side on a heavy pitch who have only just started their league season. The blame lies with us.

Second half and extra time they seemed to have more players than we did. Almost every picture there were more maroon shirts than green.

So was it given for a foul by Boyle? I could only assume it was for Boyle diving when his heels were clipped, I might have missed something though?

Its nonsense to say we bottled it if guts and effort are what folk are talking about, I never saw a single Hibs player on the park who wasn't giving 100% ... what happened was we didn't do nearly enough in the final third of the pitch. We squandered chance after chance because of lack of composure, picking the wrong pass or failing to deliver the final pass that would have seen us capitalise on a number of promising breakaways ... if we hadn't we would have won, just as we would have won at Ross County the other week if we hadn't done exactly the same in that game.
The only real difference in this game was their keeper and that they scored their penalty and we didn't. And lets not start with the lower league stuff, they had plenty of time to prepare and have a squad that on paper at least is easily a match for most of the clubs in the premiership.
Anyway ... I've long given up trying to figure out why several different managers and hundreds of different players over F knows how long have struggled to get one over on that lot on anything like a regular basis. Ho Hum ... On to the next game.

It's just what gets said now. Hibs don't lose, they bottle it.
Maybe it's from people giving too much focus on the fact we're a division above them, but that wasn't an average championship side. The same as hearts didn't bottle it when they lost to us when the roles were reversed.
