Currently watching the Semi Final preview show on Hibs TV (which is very good by the way), and there was a recap of our route to Hampden. I couldn't help but notice the incredible similarities between our 19-20 campaign so far and our route to victory in 2016.

• In 2016 we beat Inverness CT in the Quarter Final, in 2020 we also beat them in the Quarter Final.
• In 2016 we beat Dundee United, in 2020 we did the same.
• In 2016 we drew 2-2 away to a team managed by Robbie Neilson, in 2020 we did the same.
• In 2016 we beat Robbie Neilson's team in a replay, in 2020 we did the same.
• In 2016 we beat the team who were relegated from the Premiership in a semi final at Hampden, in 2020 we play the team who were relegated from the Premiership in the semi final at Hampden...
• In 2016 we knocked out Hearts, in 2020 we play them again...

A pretty impressive coincidence. I gave up the superstitious stuff after wearing my 2016 cup final outfit to our next game against Brondby, but hopefully the above stats give some Hibs fans comfort today :greengrin

The only correlation I could find between beating Raith Rovers in 2016 and BSC Glasgow in 2020 was that they both had a number 7 called Anderson playing that day. Spooky!

Outrageous similarities.

Hope it's not completely like the 2016 semi final. Don't think I could take a penalty shootout today.

Today's Oxford dictionary online word of the day is "Triumphant". They're getting hammered. GGTTH

Unfortunately I’ve checked and they weren’t relegated, they were “demoted” because Brechin City and Forfar don’t like them.

It’s all the fault of Raith Rovers because they took legal advice after Hearts named them in their court papers. Also Cowdenbeath chairman dared to disagree with reconstruction in public, so obviously they deserve to be boycotted out of existence.

****ty club.
