Not shocked. Shame but he's always carried the threat of injury.

Marvellous footballer whose talent is dragged back by his injuries.
Love the wee fellah and hope he’s back soon, even playing for that lot.

Possibily the only player to go off injured after scoring for Hibs!

Sad for him. But happy to see Aberdeen a good player down.

Makes the clamour to bring him back to Hibs, a little short-sighted.

I think latterly we were managing him well with it. He might regret not keeping that going.

Unsurprising news but I wish him all the best for a speedy recovery.

Hibs were just as good for Dylan as he was for the Club.

Real shame, quality player and a cup winning hero. We still miss him at times.

Wish him well as a cup winning legend. He's made wrong decisions from a footballing perspective when he left Hibs but financially done well. Hope he recovers well

Hadn’t heard that. Was it under Heckingbottom or JR ?

Nope, don't remember that one - or was it the after the one he shinned in against Aberdeen and was sick on the pitch?

I agree with you but I think his bank balance would disagree.

Oddly wasn’t the first time if that was the case. He went of with a whitey in the st Johnstone semi final at the bus shelter if I recall right. Swear there was another time as well

Thought he had seen a specialist to sort out the issue with his groin. Saying that once you have a weakness there it always reoccurs.

Dylan is one of these players who when fit, needs to play every week
Seems to play one game for Aberdeen, then on the bench next game

It was his pelvis he had problems with but that area is all connected, used to see him stretching his groin all the time when he was here. It's all about imbalances in the muscles, stronger ones impact the weaker ones, Ryan Giggs started doing yoga and pilates to balance out his muscles and gained longevity in his career.

Guy is a nightmare for injuries.

Great player when fit but that was only 1 full season when with us, the rest was 2 weeks fit 4 weeks out

Agree, thought that he’d finally found a training regime with us where he could keep fit long term. But he’s suffering similar injuries after he left us.

But maybe jack just didn’t want him back. It makes more sense when you see how he has reshaped the team.

Lennon said a lot of it was in his head. Did he not see a sports psychologist as well?

Did not get a regular start with JR. JR would know him inside out being his manager. In JR we trust.

Lennon's talking *****. He's unfortunately been hampered throughout his career by injury and stopped him from being a top level player. Lennon coming out and saying that was just typical Lennon.

Dylan would have stayed with the club if Lennon had been gone before him.

Unfortunately it’s unlikely to get any better for him now. I feel for him as I love him as a player, but on a purely selfish basis we look to have dodged a bullet with a wage going to fill a treatment table at Pittodrie.

He has only really played one full season and ended up being capped for Scotland . Is that down to Lennon's psychology and management which part of was seeing a specialist down in London. You have to be motivated to do that plus his contract was running out and one full good season made him a much more attractive signing. He seems to have chased the money in his moves to Sunderland and Aberdeen. JR certainly had no interest when he was available and would be the best person to judge all his qualities and character.

That’s not really what Lennon said.

He expressly said that he didn’t mean that Dylan was making his injuries up but that him constantly stepping out of training and games was possibly partly psychological in that when he began to feel anything he was stopping. I can see how that would be the case and that he was concerned every time he trained that he would be injured.

As it was after he seen the specialist he began to train every day and was playing consistently without breaking down so his attitude to the mental side of the injuries was definitely there.

So it was not exactly Lennon saying all the injuries were in his head...

Steven Gerrard also had these kind of recurring injuries as a young man. I really though Dylan had found a regime that worked for him.
