Aye but Hearts are the biggest club ever to only achieve 23 points in one season

TBF, their season was cut short so they only got to play 30 games.

I'm sure if they'd been allowed to complete the season they would have reached 26-27 points

This time last season, after 12 games, we had 12 points...
24 is a decent improvement
Onwards and upwards

So much has improved from last season, even in some of Jack Ross's time in charge last season.

It is always the next game to focus on but the next 4 league games will be tough.

I had a total fantasist hearts supporter tell me on twitter that they would have doubled their points in the remaining games 🙄

Pretty good considering 5th will likely get into europe

And with two cracks at the Scottish cup and the league cup to play for it could be a great season.

I don't think that is the case until next season, but I could be wrong

Assuming one of the top four win the second Scottish cup, yes, 5th get into Europe this season. There are also two champions League spots this season

The top 4 this season will automatically be in Europe next season and if the Scottish Cup is won by one of the top 4 teams, the 5th placed team will be in Europe.

Although 3rd and 4th will be in the Europa Conference League as opposed to the Europa League. The top two go into qualifying for the Champions League.

Does the Scottish cup winners / 3rd go straight into the group stages?

Apologies, I keep getting mixed up with this nonsense haha. Well that's good news then!

So it looks like:
1st gets 3rd Qualifier Champions League
2nd gets 2nd Qual Champions League
3rd and 4th get 2nd Qual Europa Conference League

Scottish Cup winner gets 3rd Qual Europa League

So I imagine if either 1st/2nd wins the cup, then 3rd gets the Europa League and the Conference League gets bumped down to 4th and 5th?

It was easier when we were rubbish and didnt have as many European spots! Haha

The cup winners are likely to go into the play off round of the Europa League. If the cup winners place goes instead to the 5th placed team in the Premiership (due to a team from the top 4 winning the cup) then the 5th placed team goes into the 2nd qualifying round of the Europa Conference League.

That isn't going to be for another year. The cup winners this season will go in at the third qualifying round.

Based on the current standings, the season after that the cup winners will go in at the play-off round with some form of group stage football guaranteed.

I get it's Wikipedia but this seems to suggest otherwise;

"Due to the Europa League group stage spot reserved for the Europa Conference League title holder being vacant in 2021–22, it is expected that the Scottish Cup winners will enter the Europa League play-off round instead, thus guaranteeing at least a Europa Conference League group stage berth if the play-off tie was lost."

No this season's Scottish Cup doesn't have a European place for the winners.

Two Scottish Cups and a League Cup within 6 months would be some achievement. When’s the parade?
