That’s sad to hear, he was one of the more likeable managers that managed in Scotland.

Sad to hear. RIP Ebbe.

Pretty sure his accomplishments at Brondby were unbelievably good!

was he the Dons manager when Jim Leighton got hurt after 2 mins and was it Robbie Winters had to go in goal?

He was a good character to have in the game, a bit out there at times. RIP.

I’ll remember him for having the Aberdeen players bunched together in the box before an attacking corner for them. First time any of us had seen that tactic. Cue some wag shouting “the sheep have been rounded up” followed by much hilarity and baaaaing noises from the Hibs fans. Ah the banter! RIP.

Wasn't in Scotland a very long time but managed to squeeze a few very memorable quotes into his short time here.

A likeable chap and the sort of character that should always be welcome in Scottish football.

Cult hero at Aberdeen despite some shocking results and performances.

Was he not in charge at the 9-0 defeat to Celtic? Edit: no , that was Mark McGhee but Ebbe had some real stinkers but only a 7-0 defeat to Celtic.

A proper character and managed a team that were liable to get dicked 5-0 one week then win by some comedy rugby score the next. Lost more than he won but brought a couple of gems to Scottish football and is also a proper Brondby legend.

In charge when the Dons won 6-5 at Motherwell I think.

yeah I think he was. The last match in the league cup to only have 3 subs, he gambled by not naming a sub keeper, and ended up getting beat 4-0

He was. Jim Leighton and Andy Goram were the 2 keepers that night as well.

That was a weird season for Aberdeen. Finished bottom of the league and absolutely garbage for the most part but reached 2 Cup finals. Somewhat predictably they beat us in the Scottish Cup semi final, they also pumped us 4-0 that year.

Anyway Skovdahl always seemed a bit of a character and he's pretty fondly remembered by the Aberdeen fans I know.

Beat us in that semi.

I remember his Aberdeen team playing some amazing passing football.

Unfortunately it was all across the park, from side to side, with very little going forward.

Quite a character though, a break from wall to wall old firm.

Saw his Brondby side draw with Liverpool at Anfield but defeat them over two legs. They were a very good side. Think they also provided a base for Danish side that went on to win the Euros.
