I actually don’t mind this. Normally international weekend doesn’t interfere in any way with the group stages. It’s a good chance for the smaller teams to get a few games against the so called bigger sides. Also gives the bigger sides the opportunity to blood some younger players or players needing game time.

I’m sure if we get to a semi final you’ll not be shouting about it being a tin pot tournament

Ross said yesterday that other than the 13 outfield players who he has available, the rest are 16 year olds and not able to play.

Other than 2016, it is the only cup we have won in my 62 years, so long may it continue.
In normal circumstances, it is also a source of income for teams that would otherwise have no chance of playing the likes of Hibs in a competitive game.

I totally agree, it’s not me that’s devalued it, the European place was taken away and now we’re playing ties when it’s impossible to field a full team. I’ve celebrated every LC win since Pat Stanton lifted the cup in 1972 so don’t call me arrogant. As you say it’s one of only 2 trophies we can win. GGTTH

If you don’t get the principle of my opinion then fine but as one of only 2 national competitions we can win it’s not right and devalues it. It largely follows the ball I suppose, but it does the opposite from what you’d want for zooming. When the play is furthest away it zooms further out. When the ball gets close to it then it decides to zoom in.

The pay off in not paying 1 camera man is not worth it just now as it is a much reduced experience.
