For those who may be interested, apart from Armstrong, Tierney and Christie being out, Scotland will also now be without McKenna, Palmer and Burke

SCOTLAND UPDATE

Scott McKenna, Liam Palmer and Oliver Burke will miss all three Scotland games due to injury.

Stuart Armstrong will miss out due to a positive COVID-19 test.

Kieran Tierney and Ryan Christie will self-isolate for 14 days.

McKenna, Palmer and Burke will all start their next games for their club teams as per. A real shame about the other three, hope they're all okay.

Not sure about McKenna, he wasn't in the Forrest squad at the weekend.

None of the three injured players are good enough anyway so it’s not really an issue. Hopefully we’ll get a Cooper/Porteous pairing at cb. The three missing due to isolating are all big misses. Hopefully we can get through tomorrow and maybe we’ll get the luck with covid in the final

Probably. Next games are not for 10 days!

McKenna out and even Tierney means Cooper plays. Best CH defender by a mile

All great news.

To lose these 3 players is terrible news

Wonder if McGinn or Hanlon will be in with a shout to replace Palmer/McKenna.

Yep absolute shocker to be honest especially Christie and Tierney. Huge boost for Israel

Only Celtic and former Celtic players infected

Celtic fans love to wave Palestinian flags around.

Coincidence?

Join the dots sheeple

(This is only a joke before anyone thinks I’m being some mad conspiracy nut)

McTominay surely must start again at centre half, looked like he'd played there all his life last time we played Israel.:greengrin

Disaster
Armstrong tested negative on arrival with the squad. Subsequently positive and Tierney and Christie identified as close contacts so isolate and miss 3 internationals in the next week.

Wonder if they share a table for lunch etc?

Whatever it was Billy, it knocks the wind out of our sails.
Tierney and Christie are 2 of our most important players.
I thought Tierney played really maturely and well against Israel last time and Christie makes things happen and is our most dangerous player.
Gutted.

All great news.

Not really, yawn.

This opens the door for Porteous. Hopefully he'll be picked ahead of that big lummox Paterson. Some big losses in there for the side. Tierney,Christie and Armstrong in particular.

Tricky team selection for Clarke now, particularly at the back
You’d have thought Tierney or McKenna would have played left centre back

Think we'll go 4 4 2 midfield of McGregor,McTominay,McGinn,Jack with Fraser & Dykes.
Marshall GK Robertson & Cooper in defence and who knows the other 2 ?

Cooper and Porteous at centre half surely. Or the to of them plus another if we play a back three.

Only alternative is Declan Gallagher. And if you’re basing it on form, Porteous plays.

Tbh we really need to be calling a halt to all international football right now. Its just another spreader.

Keep our players in their houses until this semi final is out the way.

I’m convinced we’ll end up with an outbreak in the week leading up to it. Happy for them to be called up in November!

& it would free up game days for the leagues but its all about telly contracts & £'s

Is that still required if he tests negative next week?in the normal world you would isolate for 14 days as a contact and only have a test if you have symptoms. This may differ in the football world/bubble. I'm really not sure.

Would imagine he's got some place of sorts up here.
