Has anyone explored this conspiracy group that has gathered a lot of pace across the globe. And is anyone a supporter of their theories?
There is a enlightening podcast by the Guardian on the topic recently..

Been down that particular rabbit hole a few times over the summer.
IMO, it's another of those conspiracy theories that is impossible to argue against. Those who believe in it, believe in it, and no amount of rational debate will change their minds. And, if you don't, you're enabling child trafficking.

Was there not someone on here who believed in all that?
They might have been emptied, although they were in fairly recently.

We're Q's not meant to be a new form of currency at one point, the next bitcoin.
Either way, I'd quite like to get behind a quirky conspiracy but I'm yet to find the right one for me.

And a couple of the lunatics who believe this Q madness will be elected to the U.S. Congress next month. I've only seen a couple of reports by American news channels on it, but it's terrifying craziness. How many Americans are estimated to be visitors of the sites pushing this stuff? They are deranged.

In some ways, I welcome that. It might allow the debate some proper space, rather than sloping around the dark tunnels of the web. Shining a light on it will allow people to see just how crazy it is or, indeed, for some of the stories to be properly supported.

The woman that’s going to win the safe Georgia congressional seat will be interesting to follow in 2021. Can’t remember her name but she loves a bit of Q.

I’ve seen it mentioned a few times and went to google it to find out more, but at the last minute I decided not to bother. There’s far too many of these crackpots in the world these days, I will remain blissfully ignorant.

No, you really should, it’s funny :greengrin
Id like to read something good about precisely why it is that conspiracy has gone mainstream, what specifically is it about this place and time that is fertile ground for it when in previous recent centuries the human race tends to rely on boring stuff like facts and um...science?

Internet. Up until that point information was filtered, by publishers, broadcasters, schoolteachers, etc.

In recent centuries people believed any old rubbish their religion told them.
Lead a good life (meaning do what your religion tells you) and you'll: Go to Heaven; Live forever in an earthly paradise; Be re-incarnated as a rabbit; Go to some magic place with 500 virgins at your disposal....
The idea that 'the evil Jews are out to get you' has been used quite successfully for centuries by unscrupulous religious leaders, so that's not new. In fact, the very First Crusade (https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/studies-in-church-history/article/first-crusade-and-the-persecution-of-the-jews/6F89E56B68A5B3BE5853FEF23A522570#) was supported by leaders of a certain Italian church, where they rampaged around Europe slaughtering innocent Jews
Some real weirdos now even believe that some fat orange guy who's never paid his taxes is their lord and saviour. OK, he can't actually quote a single scripture from their Bible but he's quite obviously been sent by their God.

I knew when I used the phrase ‘previous recent centuries’ I’d get pulled up for a lot of the religious control that went on historically, and of course you’re right. Perhaps I should have said post enlightenment or even just compared this century with the twentieth century. Personally I think the internet and unfiltered news is a factor in the rise of conspiracy, but it doesn’t explain it completely.

Wackoes have proven to be very effective when using new means of communication to further their agenda, it's not unique to the arrival of the internet. It dates back before some dude who was handy with a hammer and chisel decided to take a hike up a mountain.

Social media platform algorithms which push similar content to you that you are already viewing is a major factor. People now exist in a world reading largely only stuff they agree with..it deepens their views and beliefs and creates the disunity that we are seeing today . Those who want that are very sophisticated at targeting this...

Some interesting allegations on Benghazi going around the internet.
So let me get this straight, Clinton, Biden and Brennan had their own offshoot of the CIA called the Safari Club who were pals with Bin Laden, after 9/11 they managed to get Iran to take Bin Laden and keep him safe for 10 years, they then made Iran send Bin Laden to Pakistan where the proper CIA could find and kill him, but before they could kill him Iranian double agents took Bin Laden back to Iran and swapped him with a body double in Pakistan who was killed by Seal Team 6, all the time Obama was against this but was being blackmailed by Clinton and her cohorts into going along with it.
Seal Team 6 in the midst of flying Bin Ladens body back to Afghanistan found out it was actually his double so they threw his body out the helicopter into the Hindu Kush, this results in the story that Bin Ladens body was buried at sea
Then Iran start blackmailing Obama who pays them $152 billion dollars to keep quiet, Clinton knows that Seal Team 6 can bring this all crashing down, so under false pretences they are sent into Benghazi in a helicopter which is shot down with them all being killed?
Now the guy that knows all this and who has proof in the forms of documents and tape recordings wants to provide it all to Trump so he can blow the whistle on it :faf::faf::faf:

Aaaaaand Trump refuses to denounce QAnon conspiracies pertaining to satanic paedophile rings in the Democratic Party.
Truth, integrity, and democracy are dead, in an age where an assertion comprised of nonsensical falsehoods is indistinguishable from objective fact and reasonable criticism; nothing holds consequence, meaningful and balanced political discourse is nonexistent, millennia of societal and linguistic evolution is utterly meaningless.
Apart from that, we're grand.
