Very happy if this signing comes off. Taking other teams in our leagues best players is exactly the strategy we should be following, it’s a big part of how Aberdeen have been so strong lately. Yes for St Mirren.....I cant remember anything about him to be honest......whereas I do remember Campbell because he's been terrific practically every time he's played against us. I'm not sure we would really know. According to reports we had a bid accepted late yesterday afternoon, it's not exactly an eternity if we haven't went through all necessary medical checks and required documentation 24 hours later.

That’s laughable from a team that employ battering rams up front on a regular basis.

He seemed to suggest he thought he was fit to play though also seemed to be saying he had only played a half which may suggest starting from the bench. Temptation to get him involved however really important he is managed properly physically.

That's a particularly fine bit of analysis. I've had a quick look on Transfermarkt and Magennis has been booked 7 times in 105 matches (averaging 1 booking every 15 games) and has never been sent off. By way of comparison, Halliday picks up a booking about every 9 matches and has been set off 3 times; Haring gets booked about every 4th game and has been sent off once.

Watching this I’m not quite sure he is ready yet... obviously he says he is (as you would expect) but he’s barely played for 9 months.
