Good on them. Tragic thing to happen.

It was a terrible thing to happen so well done to the club's for the gesture. I hope some lessons are learned as a result of this as it seems incredulous that a handcuffed suspect could shoot and kill while in custody.

Been off the grid for personal reasons so missed this story. when I was a youngster, way back in the day I had an irrational dislike for law and order, but, now I have matured (some would disagree) I find this kind of thing abhorrent and just don't get it. Here in Cambridge the local police always have a kind word and I have had many chats with them and my wee girl repects them and firemen, ambulance crews. So sad for his family, he sounds like a very sound guy

Fair play to them.

Horrendous thing to happen. He was just weeks away from retirement as well I believe.

RIP Sgt Matiu Ratana.
