Ryan Reynolds is one of the most famous actors in the world. Was in deadpool and deadpool 2.

Must admit I had no idea who they were either. Are any of them Welsh?

I think Reynolds is Canadian. Quite out of the blue for them to invest in Wrexham, must see potential.

I must be the only one that hasn’t seen any marvel films :greengrin

More of a Joker/Batman fan myself.

Maybe famous to the under 30's, I'd never heard of him.

Very odd especially as Wrexham are fan owned. Would be a stepbackwards for them but the cash will be tempting.

Very odd, but the way 2020 is going, I'm not surprised at this point. Two very famous actors, especially over in the states.

He has just sold his Aviator gin brand to Diageo for £750m. He was one of the major shareholders in the company and is also being kept as a brand ambassador so he also shares in any profits made.

That guy!

He was in Sabrina the Teenage Witch the movie, not the TV show. So if you're thinking of Harvey in the TV show, that's not him, it's this guy: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0724921/

Superhero films are not really for me, but It's Always Sunny is brilliant.

Reynolds has also sold his gin brand for a **** ton of money (we're not talking about Dre with Beats though!)

Ryan Reynold's film 'Buried' is an underrated classic! No idea why he'd have an interest in Wrexham or what potential he sees in them but it's 2020 so..

Never heard of her. Some many icons of popular culture pass me by these days, can't think why:confused:

He is Canadian.

He was also in Green Lantern, which I thought was a bit strange, but liked anyway.

Good actor who plays characters with a bit of humour to them, wise cracks etc, Deadpool sums him up perfectly.

Akin to the US idiot who bought London Bridge. Suspect someone's told them Wrexham is a suburb of London with the stadium sitting on valuable real estate.

Or maybe they just need somewhere to go when the US plunges into chaos and anarchy when Trump is re-elected or loses (same outcome).

I take great pride in my lack of knowledge of contemporary popular culture.

I just had a look at their website. Finished 3rd from bottom of what I assume is the Conference. Interesting to see so many former league teams in there, I counted 12 our of 22, some with decent histories.

Basically, she was a teenager with witching powers and her name was Sabrina. I don’t recall any TV episodes, or the film, featuring Wrexham, which makes it alarmingly incongruent.

Grew up as a Chester fan in the 80s, experienced many unsavoury cross-border derbies v W**h*m (https://www.vice.com/en_uk/article/yp8ddk/the-most-ferocious-rivalry-in-non-league-football) so watching this with interest.

If they romp up the leagues I will be gutted. If it goes the way it went with Chester when we were bought by an American business amateur who tried to get players to learn ‘soccer playbooks’, fell out with all and sundry, then sold us to a Liverpool drug dealer who made his son captain ... then I will be delighted!

It won’t be better than my childish delight when my boyhood hero Andy Holden became our assistant assistant manager under Stubbs though. Now there *was* a Chester legend.
