Beat Dundee, St Johnstone, Livi and Hearts

Last time we won five league games away from home was 05/06 (we ended up winning six away from home on the bounce in that run)

I must still be trying to forget Hecky! I guess we've never done it at start of a season before.

In 1964-65 we won our first 6 away League games. I've only checked the years that we actually had a decent team, that includes the Famous 5 era so there might be other seasons http://www.ihibs.co.uk/hibs/team_results_season.php?from=48&competition=0&update=Update

So we did & I was at most of the games, including the memorable 4-2 Ibrox game where Willie Hamilton put Jim Baxter on his backside!. I didn't realise what an achievement that was at the time. Of course that was the season that neither of the OF finished in the top 4 & our Tiny friends Heartsed it against Killie!

Got me thinking back to when Willie MacFarlane was manager, we had a fine team which of course was sold on pretty quickly for profit, but that first season when Willie was manager we beat the Hun, the Tic and the jambos all away before the New Year's day game with the mucky ones, who we gubbed as well..

Heady days indeed, always liked Willie Mac as a manager; his part in the team that Edie Turnbull inherited and then built on is often ignored. Don’t have the figures but pretty sure that we went on a record unbeaten run during his first season at Hibs 1969/70

Never tire of seeing Willie's part in that sad, sad story. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3Z0Qa7sjDg) :greengrin

Well, given our next away game is parkhead...if we don't win, I won't immediately blame you
